Miko the local Miko Shrine
She sighed. "I don't know who you are but... you've made a very bad mistake." Miko did not even need to verify who it was or what it was; her shrine's reaction was all she needed to know about the thing currently trying to attack or even eat her. By herself, and with just her family's training, she could probably tear apart a boulder with her bare hands and move fast enough to befuddle the sights of any untrained person, but within the boundaries of her own shrine, within the protection of its charms, talismans, and territory... Well, it did not bode well for anyone trying to fight her, much less something that was essentially close to a youkai in existence. Almost as soon as Miko recognized the danger, the boundaries around the shrine closed to the beast, the wards and talismans exerting an enourmous pressure upon the foreign entity inside it, sapping its strength. In the space of a mere moment, she had already moved towards its side leveraging a powerful kick towards its face, her movements and abilities augmented far beyond her normal from the various wards and talismans within her shrine's territory. The beast would learn that fighting a shrine maiden in her own territory surrounded by her wards was a bad idea.
