His mother passed away when he was a young boy, and his father was arrested for unknown reasons when Akimbe was on the cusp of twenty. Having lost his family and soon after his home, Akimbe found himself alone and with nothing to his name. Desperate, angry, and misguided, he got involved with a large group of Somalian pirates. For years they raided, pillaged, raped, and kidnapped along the coastal line. At some point, Deng became the leader of the pirates. Unlike his predecessor (presumably), Deng was by far a better leader. He recruited more actively, designated more efficient raids and attacks, and the pirates seized more lucrative targets. Four years after his rise to leadership, Deng and his cartel of pirates were the most feared in Somalia. Things unraveled however when an internal struggle erupted, combined with intensified efforts by local authorities and “militia” to stand against Deng. As well as growing competition in Yemen, Eritrea, and Kenya. Within several months Akimbe Deng’s grand cartel was liquidated, and he and those who remained loyal to him fled far to the east into the Pacific. Despite being foreigners and having high prices on their heads, Akimbe Deng and his pirates managed to establish a foothold in Southeast Asia, setting up basic operations in the Banda Sea and Arafura Sea off the coasts of Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and Australia. Using his leadership skills, charisma, and taking a more tempered approach, Deng has rebuilt his criminal empire in the Pacific. Deng has expanded his business into multiple fronts and markets in the underworld, and rebuilt his pirate cartel by recruiting from the local regions and nations (mostly African-Australians and Aboriginals of Australia and New Guinea, as well as Indonesians.). He has also established a network of contacts across the Pacific and Indian Ocean, and has since expanded his base pirate faction into an unirivaled criminal syndicate since forming a partnership with arms dealer Buckingham Smith and prostitution and opium mogul Aulia Wisnu. Akimbe Deng’s syndicate has ruled the seas of the Pacific for roughly a decade now, and despite hundreds of warrants, the attention of numerous covert-ops and security agencies (not to mention bounties touching the millions), his underworld monopoly has yet to be toppled or rocked. At age sixteen he was involved with one of the most dangerous African American street gangs in the city. By the age of twenty-one, he was responsible for multiple shootings, killings, and drug trafficking. At the age of twenty-five, he was involved with a major scale drug ring. A massive operation of smuggling cocaine and marijuana into the southern United States by boat loads. The organization was eventually liquidated by the DEA, and Dominic was forced to flee the US with several outstanding warrants and his face on several most wanted lists. He traveled to Haiti and spent several months there before immigrating to Jamaica. He soon became involved with a Jamaican “Yardie” gang of Rastafarians. He spent two years with this gang, but was forced to flee Jamaica after a failed bank robbery that left dozens dead. Labeled as “Public Enemy Number One”, Dominic fled across the pacific and ended up in Australia. It was in Australia that he met Buckinghan Smith. Smith referred Dominic to Akimbe Deng, who saw great potential in him. Deng appointed Dominic as his right-hand man and gave him his own crew and private island to manage Deng’s empire from. Dominic LaTrush specifically oversees the management of Deng’s drug production and distribution business and organizes raids on small villages and passing ships. Those captured in these raids are sold on the slave markets. Dominic is cold hearted, brutal, and prone to fits of sub-psychotic rage. He is Deng’s eyes and ears and is fanatically loyal to his boss. LaTrush is also heavily addicted to drugs, and regularly uses marijuana and cocaine. However just short of a decade ago, he was discharged and soon after moved to Australia to seek a new life. He took up private security as his profession for just over a year. However this did not suit Smith’s brutal, bloodthirsty nature. It was then that he dove into the underworld as a hitman, and for two years carried out a number of killings across Australia. Smith would go on to expand his profession, hiring a small crew of miscreants and opening an arms smuggling operation across northern Australia and into Papua New Guinea. Through his arms dealing business, Smith met Akimbe Deng. Learning of Smith’s past and his reputation as a killer, Deng began to regularly contract Smith as his personal assassin and security specialist, though he allowed Smith’s arms dealing to remain independent. Most of the weapons Deng’s men possess were acquired and sold to them by Smith. Currently, Smith spends more of his time in Papua New Guinea and travels the surrounding islands, his arms dealing having expanded outward from Australia. He has numerous safe houses and “bureaus” established throughout Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Much like Smith, she is not directly employed by Deng, though on occasion is contracted by him or acts as a fence for his business dealings in Indonesia. She controls the largest prostitution ring in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta, and is the owner of a large and rather notorious night club called “The Red Lily”. Aside from prostitution, she also deals in human trafficking and the opium trade. Many of her prostitutes and sex slaves are purchased from Deng, and her club is a front for mass distribution of opium in southern Jakarta. She rarely leaves Jakarta except for business meetings or sit downs with contacts or clients. She also owns a countryside estate outside of city limits, though she very rarely goes there. Nothing is known of Aulia’s early life or past prior to opening her club and asserting herself as a major element in Indonesia’s criminal underground. Non-verifiable information states that she grew up poor in Jarkata and worked as a prostitute in a bathhouse brothel for many years. Somehow, allegedly, she killed the owner and made off with a large sum of money, using the money to build her own carnal empire. Eventually arising to the notorious stature she holds today.
