Sentinel appears to be a large humanoid figure, akin to an ancient suit of armor. Its skin is an especially dark shade of gray, and is mostly made out of rock and bits of metal. Sentinel's head is also quite small in comparison to the rest of its body. Strange symbols and hieroglyphics are scattered around Sentinel's entire body, most of which bear no resemblance to any known language. The small amount that does is incredibly difficult to decipher and has not been done so yet. Various cracks can also be seen in some areas of its massive frame. These cracks, along with the two slits on its head that function as its "eyes", constantly emit a dim yellowish light of unknown origin. A large scar can be found across its chest, with a metal band running diagonally across said scar. The origin of the scar is unknown, but there are theories that speculate that it was obtained in a battle with another monster.

[*][color=00a99d][b]Colossal Strength:[/b][/color] Sentinel's physical attacks possess tremendous power, even when compared to other kaiju. Its attacks are powerful enough to pulverize buildings with ease and punch large craters into mountains.
[*][color=00a99d][b]Impregnable Defense:[/b][/color] Sentinel's body, despite being seemingly made mostly out of rock is actually quite durable. It has been shown to be greatly resistant to elemental attacks such as fire, water, ice and electric-based attacks as well. Some parts of its body are actually more durable than the others, such as its legs, parts of its torso, and its forearms, which it commonly uses to block attacks.
[*][color=00a99d][b]Energy Blasts:[/b][/color] Sentinel has the capability to fire blasts or beams of energy from his hands and his eyes. They are capable of eliminating military vehicles such as tanks in a single burst, but are less effective against larger, more powerful targets, such as other monsters. Although the exact nature of these attacks are unknown, they are theorized to be plasma-based.
[*][color=00a99d][b]Construct Creation:[/b][/color] One of Sentinel's unique abilities is the creation of automated constructs that can be remotely controlled. These constructs resemble the prehistoric dragonfly [i]Meganeura[/i], except these constructs are much larger, being as long as the average human and having the wingspan of a car. These constructs are able to fly around and attack with energy blasts similar to the Sentinel's own. However, these constructs take a relatively long time to create, and Sentinel can currently control about 20 constructs at any given moment.
[*][color=00a99d][b]Material Siphoning:[/b][/color] Sentinel can absorb specific inorganic materials such as rock and metal, and assimilate it into its own being in order to repair or modify itself. This ability however, is not suited for use in combat, as the process takes a relatively long time, and thus, is more suited for out-of-battle repairs and upgrades.

[*][color=00a99d][b]Sub-optimal Capacity:[/b][/color] Sentinel's core is currently damaged and is not operating at its full capacity. As a result, it is generally slower in terms of both movement and attack speed, and some of its attacks, such as its energy-based projectiles, are weaker as well. Fortunately, Sentinel has the capability to fully repair its core, the process will take an extremely long time however.
[*][color=00a99d][b]Vulnerable Areas:[/b][/color] Although Sentinel has great defensive strength, it does have several "weak points" around its body, such as its armpit area and the back of its knee. These areas, when attacked, can cause substantial damage to Sentinel, perhaps even crippling it if the attack is strong enough.
[*][color=00a99d][b]Gentle Giant:[/b][/color] Due to Sentinel's nature, it will sometimes put itself in harm's way to protect innocent humans. This may leave it vulnerable to enemy attacks and may interfere with its own capability to fight as well. However, this is not entirely consistent, and there will be times when Sentinel will choose to deal with its opponent rather than save humans.

[color=00a99d][b][u]Personality:[/u][/b][/color]
In every recorded incident, there has been no signs of aggression or violence from Sentinel. Its behavior towards humans is either neutral or protective depending on the situation. Most cases report it simply standing in place, silently observing humanity from afar. There are however, a small number of cases wherein it has actively moved to protect humans in danger, such as the 1954 encounter near the coast of Florida, when it saved a fishing boat from being submerged by a typhoon. It is unknown however, what would happen if it were to be attacked by humans, as there has been no recorded case of humans doing so.

[color=00a99d][b][u]History:[/u][/b][/color] 
The earliest recording of Sentinel's existence was a primitive cave painting found somewhere along the African coast around 38,000 - 40,000 years ago, which depicted numerous human figures gathering around a large humanoid figure rising out of the water. Throughout history, more sightings continued to appear, with most describing it as a "moving island" as usually only its head and shoulders were above the water. Other interpretations continued to appear, a sea monster, a giant, a divine entity, one source even theorized that Sentinel was the Golem of Prague, that had grown massive and started wandering the ocean. A few reports have even claimed to have been saved from storms and typhoons by the entity, who would carry them back to shallow waters with its gargantuan size, hence the name given to it. 

TERRA had known of its existence after its encounter with one of their research vessels in the East China Sea. The report of the encounter details Sentinel appearing near the vessel and staring at it with its "eyes". The acting captain of the vessel opted to stop all movement and to observe and gather data on Sentinel as well. After about an hour, the giant would slowly submerge back into the water and move further east towards the Pacific Ocean. Rather than trying to contain Sentinel, TERRA opted to monitor it instead, tracking its movements around the globe.

[*]There have also been reports of large, shadowy, insect-like creatures flying around near various large cities at night, details of its appearance from its reports also show similar physical characteristics to Sentinel. However, there is no concrete evidence of their relation to one another.
[*]Energy readings indicate that large amounts of unstable, volatile energy are focused in Sentinel's chest, where its scar is located. The metal patching up the scar seems to be a mixture of several different elements, and is incredibly durable. It is theorized that should the patch be removed or destroyed, large amounts of energy would be unleashed in a potentially destructive form, along with unknown side effects.
