Tina Torbin pulled onto the side street, the lights of her makeshift scooter fading a little too quickly as she turned off the motor in front of a double barred door. She'd have to use the backup battery. Poor directions had sent her in circles for the day's deliveries, and there was no chance she'd be earning any extra credits to make up for it now. The twenty three year old crouched beside the scooter and rearranged the wires. It was a mess of a machine with two main speeds she thought of as "pathetic" and "blast out of anywhere." Not that it could actually get her off the planet, but ships required a lot more power than a scooter. She was saving up. That simple task done she beat on the door and waited for an answer. It creaked open, Tina smiled professionally and passed the box from her satchel through the opening before it clanged closed. Another one done.
