Okay, before I get too excited, I have Questions[sup]TM[/sup]: So for... let's call them divergent classes, like warlocks and demon hunters and death knights where the character usually has a background as something else before they started making deals with demons or snacking on their souls or being raised as undead, how much of their old skills do they retain? Would it make sense that a former mage turned warlock might know how to conjure a water elemental? That a former rogue turned demon hunter might know how to sneak unseen? And speaking of conjuring shizz, for warlocks and mages, and I guess demon hunters and death knights to an extent, how do their relationships carry over? As far as like conjured side kicks I mean. I'm not sure what the official canon is on these things. I think demons go back to the Nether when warlocks don't have them summoned, and I assume the same goes for elementals and the various elemental planes, but I don't know for sure. Could be stored in neat little scrolls or tattoos I guess. I know warlocks have contracts and always summon the same demons, is that the same for mages and elementals? Do the contracts carry over across time? Would the demons/elementals remember the future or would they just suddenly be bound in a contract their future selves made or is that all voided? I want to say it'd make sense that it only matters if they travel through the warp portal thing with the character, as with Draven and Zep or w/e his name is and Avol and... I thought it was a hobgoblin but it's actually an ogre so... anyway, is that something you want a solid say in or can I just play it how I want to? I like to think I'm pretty solid in warcraft lore, I've been super into it even after all this time and Blizz's questionable choices lmao, but this kinda stuff I'd rather have your opinion on first before I start throwing my own assumptions around :P
