[@Eviledd1984][@Cio] Evren welcomed Aava with a hug as Beck huffed and stooped to take a seat on the curb, clearly a little weary. She offered Duckie a half-hearted wave but didn't say anything. "Yes, I promised!" Evren exclaimed, happy to hear she was starting to pick up some new words; it made him happy to see the näkki acting more like herself. "(Aava, this is James. He's a bit of an outsider, like you and I. He's a friend.)" he explained in her native Finnish before turning his attention to the boney ghoul. "This is who I was talking about, her name is Aava, she's a näkki from Finland. We knew each other... ah, four hundred years ago. I suppose I am an 'old timer.'" Beck threw her arms up in an overdramatic huff. "What the hell is a näkki? I thought she was some kind of wendigo!" she said, crossing her arms and looking petulantly at the three, before narrowing her gaze at Evren. "What are you even doing here? You got arrested and now you're just here with a whole new face. I hate that and I hate having to clean up after your mess every time you get hungry or make a bad friend." The shapeshifter shifted uncomfortably, shame evident in the dark blush across his cheeks. "I'm sorry to burden you. I never meant to bring you into this, but I'm deeply grateful for your help -" "You're always 'so sorry' and 'so grateful.' I'm sick of being roped into all of your drama when you can't even watch your own ass, much less someone else's!" Evren flinched sharply when she yelled and his face drained of color. Beck sighed and took a second to calm down. "God... I like you, Evren, but you're a mess. I did this for you, we're square, and I'm leaving." She walked off in a silent rage, getting back in the VW and driving off without so much as a glance. Evren was white as a ghost, mortified but feeling quite certain she was right about him.
