In the original Gojira, people who survived the rampage suffered radiation burns and poisoning. And while we're at it, it might be good to look into [I][url=https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hibakusha]hibakusha[/url][/I], survivors of the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Though I do warn that some of the imagery of the effects of radiation are quite graphic.
