Tends to go for formal wear of fine quality, and his 'casual' clothes tend to match that sort of style. (Aside from when he's exercising). Physically fit for a man of his age, and he likes to keep it that way. Age: 39 Occupation: Bodyguard Starting Location: Seattle, Washington, USA History: Born as an only child in small town America, Daniel was always trying to get 'out there', to see more of the world beyond where he grew up. The military offered a way to do that, and he joined up with the army shortly after graduating from high school. Not particularly distinguishing himself in basic training, he would soon find himself deployed overseas as part of military operations in the Middle East. It was in those that he would realize something closer to a calling. As it turned out, he was good at fighting and killing. Really good at it. Daniel distinguished himself under fire, earning a medal of valor and saving several of his squad mates during combat deployment in Iraq. While not advancing particularly rapidly since he liked to keep in the thick of things, he was certainly growing into a skilled and vicious fighter. He would end up undertaking a second tour, during which he had his second epiphany. Perhaps it was all the explosions finally getting to him, or the bombed out villages, but he realized that he was losing his belief in the cause. Sure, there was nothing wrong with the fighting itself, it was just wearing him down. As a result, he ended up accepting an honorable discharge at the end of the second tour, returning to the states. He went back to college for a bit, listlessly drifting through life as he tried to fit in with society once again. And not doing a very good job at it. Salvation eventually came at the hands of one of his old Army buddies, who informed him that he had a job that would be perfect for his cultivated set of skills. As it turned out, that was bodyguard work. In the age of social media, there were plenty of people willing to pay good dollar for those qualified to deal with lowlifes, the paparazzi, and any other menace that might show up. With few better options, he accepted. As it turned out, he was pretty good at that too. The skills were similar enough, and most of the time you didn't have to be too rough as long as you could stand there and look intimidating. He'd picked that up a while back, and he found himself taking up a full time position. The fact that the pay was pretty nice helped too. He went through a couple clients, eventually ending up as a bodyguard for some rich CEO's daughter as she does the whole 'socialite' routine. It's a headache, sometimes, but not worse than getting shot at in a hole in the desert. Currently in Seattle on a trip, they would be returning to Chicago in a couple days, and he was looking forward to the off time that would come of it.
