An ornate blade with a length of 4 feet and 6 inches, it is the perfect weapon to maintain distance from an opponent and land clean blows while taking none in return. Of course the rapier is useless in close range combat, which is why it is paired with a dagger for when an enemy gets too close for comfort. Nobody ever said Rose was a gentlewoman. • Abilities: Redirect: It is of course a fact that in order to win a fight, you need to hit the opponent while not getting hit yourself. While this sounds simple in theory, in reality it's actually quite difficult to avoid being hit entirely. Thus Rose trained herself to redirect attacks made on her personage so she doesn't get hit. This applies to all forms of attack, whether they be spells, arrows, bullets, sword swings, with some quick maneuvering of her blades she can parry and attack and redirect it somewhere else. In midrange melee combat this can also be used as an opportunity for a vicious counterattack as well. You have to hit the opponent to win after all. Disengage: Not all attacks can be redirected or parried though, it's a simple fact that some attacks are just to "big" to be redirected in such a manner. That is why one must learn the most valuable lesson of combat. "It's not running away, it's just a tactical disengagement." In effect, this is similar to the "dodge roll" trope of video games where your character perfectly dodges an attack and gains invincibility frames. Rose can "disengage" from an assault with a quick dash and phase through attacks that should normally hit. • Background: "There is nothing more romantic than the life of a pirate." It was the earliest thought that Rose could remember, she doesn't remember when she thought it nor what brought the thought on, but that simple thought has stuck with her for her entire life. Rose's life had never been anything special. Wake up, brush teeth, eat food, go to college that she hated, go home, eat food, brush teeth, go to sleep, the same boring routine every day. The only thing that kept her sane was that simple thought that consumed her. The ideal of a pirate, the thought of adventure and freedom from the mundanities of society. In her free time she would draw pictures of great boats, sometimes sailing the seas, other times sailing the skies, but always with herself at the helm. Recently, two events occurred in very close proximity to one another. Now events happen all the time, but these two events were special, nay, life altering events that could never be forgotten. The first was when she saw an Angel flying above her during her usual walk to school. She knew it was an Angel because of the feathers that fell off of it as it passed over her. Nobody else noticed, but she knew it was real because of the feathers, she kept those feathers to make sure it was real. The second event happened not even a week later, when that Tower appeared. It should have been national news, everybody should have noticed the appearance of that giant Tower in the sky. Yet it was only her, only she could see that monumental thing that was sure to change the world. And over that Tower, she saw an Angel descending onto the tip and then disappearing. She knew now, that this was the beginning of a new world. This was the beginning of an adventure. And of course, only the bravest of souls could go on such an adventure. What a romantic ideal she held within her heart. "Truly, there is nothing more romantic than the beginning of the life of a pirate."
