An ornate blade with a length of 4 feet and 6 inches, it is the perfect weapon to maintain distance from an opponent and land clean blows while taking none in return. Of course the rapier is useless in close range combat, which is why it is paired with a dagger for when an enemy gets too close for comfort. Nobody ever said Rose was a gentlewoman. • Abilities: Cutting Words: When in battle, it's always good to focus on the one who is currently trying to maim or dismember you. Which is why it's particularly aggravating when some loudmouthed pirate is constantly yelling at you and trying to get your attention, when even a split second of distraction can result in- and would you look at that, you have an ice spike lodged in your chest. Rose is particularly skilled in the art of distracting people in the middle of fighting, bringing their attention to her for even the smallest amount of time can result in huge gaps in their defense if they're fighting someone else. Disengage: The greatest fool is the one who stares death in the eyes and laughs. There is nothing worth dying for, no adventure should conclude in one's demise. If one were to die in the middle of an adventure, that means you can no longer go on adventures after all. That is why one must learn the most valuable lesson of combat. "It's not running away, it's just a tactical disengagement." In effect, this is similar to the "dodge roll" or "quick dash" trope of video games where your character perfectly dodges an attack and gains invincibility frames. Rose can "disengage" from an assault with a beautiful flip through the air and phase through attacks that should normally hit. • Background: "There is nothing more romantic than the life of a pirate." It was the earliest thought that Rose could remember, she doesn't remember when she thought it nor what brought the thought on, but that simple thought has stuck with her for her entire life. Rose's life had never been anything special. Wake up, brush teeth, eat food, go to college that she hated, go home, eat food, brush teeth, go to sleep, the same boring routine every day. The only thing that kept her sane was that simple thought that consumed her. The ideal of a pirate, the thought of adventure and freedom from the mundanities of society. In her free time she would draw pictures of great boats, sometimes sailing the seas, other times sailing the skies, but always with herself at the helm. Recently, two events occurred in very close proximity to one another. Now events happen all the time, but these two events were special, nay, life altering events that could never be forgotten. The first was when she saw an Angel flying above her during her usual walk to school. She knew it was an Angel because of the feathers that fell off of it as it passed over her. Nobody else noticed, but she knew it was real because of the feathers, she kept those feathers to make sure it was real. The second event happened not even a week later, when that Tower appeared. It should have been national news, everybody should have noticed the appearance of that giant Tower in the sky. Yet it was only her, only she could see that monumental thing that was sure to change the world. And over that Tower, she saw an Angel descending onto the tip and then disappearing. She knew now, that this was the beginning of a new world. This was the beginning of an adventure. And of course, only the bravest of souls could go on such an adventure. What a romantic ideal she held within her heart. "Truly, there is nothing more romantic than the beginning of the life of a pirate."

Takara Kohou
• Age: 10 • Class: Warlock (Sword) • Aspect of Soul: Whip Sword (and pillow) • Abilities: Connect: Being only ten years old, it would be no exaggeration to say that this kid is seriously cute. However thanks to this passive ability, this cuteness is absolutely amped up to eleven, making everyone around him want to dote on him at all times. Basically an autopass on most social checks, as who would want to be mean to a little kid? Powerup: A deal made with a sadistic devil, in cases of extreme danger Takara will fall asleep and unleash his true power as he connects with the malicious BB-chan. This cannot be done willingly by Takara, only activating when he either falls asleep in the middle of a fight or when BB forcibly takes control of her willing vessel. • Background:
"My mommy is an angel." Everyone at the funeral wept as Takara spoke these words, his naive innocence heartbreaking to even the most cold hearted monster. Yet while it was true that he still couldn't comprehend that his mother had died, he wasn't simply being naive when he said his mommy was an angel. Many times the mother and son spoke of her Heaven, how beautiful it was, how every day she wished she could go back, for just a day even. Whether she was simply speaking in metaphor or not was lost on the child, in his eyes she truly was an angel, descended from Heaven to love him and care for him. "My mommy is such a beautiful angel." What she passed from was unknown to Takara, no doctor could really explain the exact illness that took her from this world. But Takara knew. He knew when he saw that Tower in the sky, when he saw the Angel flying through the clouds, he knew that was where his mommy was. So he prayed real hard to whatever God was out there, prayed that he could be strong enough to go in the Tower and go be with his mommy in Heaven. God did not respond. A Devil did. They never did find Takara, most assumed he simply ran away from the grief of losing his mother. They never did find him in the sprawling metropolis of Miso City. They never did look up.
• Inventory: One pillow and one faded photograph of a blonde woman holding a baby. • Class: Berserker(Sword) • Aspect of Soul: Broadsword - A remnant of her times as a girl who was magical, this is a rather simple sword of black steel, about the length of her body. There are runes etched into the base of the blade that tend to glow whenever Ami channels her power, however they don't appear to actually do anything aside from glowing... • Abilities: Devil's Fury - The greatest sin a Magical Girl could commit was murder. Those who indulged in this act would invariably become Devils, sacrificing their humanity and giving in to the darkness entirely. While Ami never gave into the darkness while she was a Magical Girl, after the source of the Magical Girl's powers disappeared she found herself powerless, entirely devoid of everything that had once made her special. All except for that darkness. Ami has reclaimed her powers by grabbing a hold of the Devil inside, reigniting her magical furnace and powering herself solely with her own fury. Tldr; shoot fire and be strong, shoot fire and be stronger when you get angrier. • Background: Ami was once a Magical Girl. A lot happened in her life before that, but none of it mattered i comparison to that one fact. Ami was a Magical Girl. She fought Nightmares, ruled the city from the shadows, took what she wanted and damned the consequences! Life was good. Life was really good. But then she wasn't a Magical Girl. Nobody was really sure what had happened, but one day their powers simply disappeared without warning. And Ami was no longer special. She was just alone. She really tried to live a normal life, go to school, get a part time job to pay for her apartment. But the other Magical Girls had no reason to talk to her now that everyone was just normal, and she could never make friens with the others. They didn't get it, they didn't understand what she was! What she was. She started withdrawing from the world, she locked herself away in her apartment and lived off of the junk food she had stockpiled there. The life of a NEET was miserable to be quite frank, but she just couldn't relate to the world after what she had seen, after what she had been. And then one day, a Demon approached her. Her old teacher, the one who had taught her how to fight as a Magical Girl. "Depression ain't a good look on you kid. Now go look out the window, you've got places to be." She didn't really understand what the hell he was talking about, but it's not like she had anything better to do. So Ami got up off of her mattress on the floor, walked to the window, and witnessed something that lit a fire in her soul once more. A great tower, floating in the sky above her city. She barked out a laugh as she stared at the impossibility, a reminder of the life she had once lived. She blinked once, and then found herself in a great darkness. And then, she entered the Tower.
