As Daichi approached the table alongside a dark-haired young woman who must be Katie Bastion, Kay tried to smile extra welcomingly. [color=F08080]"Yeah that's me: Kay Clarke, nerd extraordinaire."[/color] She laughed at her own joke as the two sat down, and continued to smile respectfully as Kirk introduced himself to the three of them as well.

She listened to Kirk explain how baked chicken and cornbread sounded [i]delicious[/i], especially with how he thought so highly of the restaurant's methods, and made up her mind that yes, she was coming back here outside of work at some point. 

She paused to think for a moment about how to handle this as he switched the topic back to their reason for being at the same table together. [color=F08080][i]Honesty is best...[/i][/color]

[color=F08080]"You're observant,"[/color] She started, winking as she made a finger-gun motion at Kirk. [color=F08080]"That's a good thing to be."[/color] She let the statement hang in silence for a moment before deciding it was too rude to just leave it at that. 

[color=F08080]"And, I suppose... It's not exactly classified that a new rift has opened in the area, considering the news coverage it got. It's more a matter of [i]us[/i] not wanting to be swamped by reporters before we even get there to check it out. So,"[/color] She motioned as if she were zipping her mouth shut, [color=F08080]"You'll just have to help us keep that little secret now."[/color]

After a minute, she glanced over at the restaurant's entrance before directing a question at Daichi and Katie. [color=F08080]"Neither of you happened to see Elise- or Lizzie- on your way here, did you?"[/color]
