The party ventured on, but the city's state in general didn't get any better. If anything it seemed to have deteriorated over the night even more. The clocktower was still standing though as everyone could see if looking at the horizon. [color=ff9900]"I doubt that anyone will be able to intercept the message. It is a very directed wave, not a general shoutout. One can only hear it if standing within its wake, and for this somebody would have to be, well..., floating in the air as it travels down from the top of the tower over the city walls towards its destination. I see the danger of interception much more outside the city's walls than inside. However all of this is presuming that we can still access the top of the tower."[/color]

That was were Týfurkh's most urgent concerns were. Their mission could end with as little as finding a gate firmly locked and so strong that none of them could break through. Or their enemies might have taken a hold of the tower as it could also serve as an excellent lookout and a way to sound a general alarm when using the bells. Or, while its walls were still standing, it could have suffered enough of internal damage for its higher levels to become inaccessible without great effort.
