Her hair, brown, bushy, and thick, is often braided and tied up with a hairband. Pebs is of average stature, though on the stocky side.

Biography

Pebs likes to think she has a humble beginning, hailing from a small town in the middle of cornfields and straight roads that end at the horizon. Playing in the fields was her childhood, as was chasing grasshoppers and brushing goats, milking cows and petting the tabby who lived on her family’s farm but who her family had no more claim on than a name he only heeded when it suited him. Under the great blue sky in this flat, expansive land, Pebs grew and learned, the steady work on the farm interrupted only by school. That she didn’t stand out in school didn’t bother her, but her parents urged her to put more time into her studies, hoping for a future, Pebs didn’t quite see for herself. To her, life on the farm was enough, and all she needed was to understand the machinations of biology and machinery, of balance and harvest applicable to the crops and animals around her. Still, when the state college acceptance came in the mail, her parents were quick to help her pack, pushing her towards the city. There, she’d find opportunity, they said, but Pebs couldn’t see why they’d be able to see any farther than she could.

Pebs is, through and through, a kindhearted person who tries to do good. She loves animals and believes in the good in people, believes that great things can be achieved when people work together. As an upstanding citizen and good samaritan, Pebs has a certain amount of backbone to her, and she’s not afraid to stand up for what she believes in when it comes down to it, even if she hates conflict. She’d much rather prefer to be a mediator when possible, but all this only applies when Pebs is sure about what she’s doing. When she’s not, it’s a different story; being uncertain is Pebs’ Achilles’ heel since it means that Pebs is unable to determine the ‘right thing’ to do. While she’s equal parts doer and thinker, both require a certain amount of certainty, and without a path to follow, Pebs has nowhere to apply her usual dedication and confidence.

[/cell][/row]
