I understand that the Himeros Mk. IV is very powerful (though still below continent buster, per the rules), but I intended it to be something that could eventually be worked towards. An end-game sort of weapon due to its really long construction time and high material requirements. The Pothos Mk. IV Backpack is her standard equipment and is more along the lines of a Sentai hero.
Name: Amelia Rachael Ambersol Alias/Titles: Kid Supreme, Tech Goddess, The Quantum Architect, The Perverse Light of Reason Age: 19 Gender: Female Race: Human Appearance: Personality: Amelia is, simply put, a scientific genius without peer and is thus supremely confident in her archival knowledge on both scientific and magical principles. Forever enthusiastic and excitable at the prospect of new discoveries, she possesses a good and noble heart that desires to employ her fantastical inventions to improve the lives of everyone on Earth and protect them from the otherworldly threats that frequently attempt to toy with their lives. She is a perfectionist in every regard, holding herself to extremely high standards when it comes to her inventions, weaponry, and the quality of her heroics. A preventable loss of innocent life represents a stain on her pride, a failure of her calculations, and an imperfection to be stamped out. The only thing in the world that could possibly match the height of her brilliance is the depth of her perversion, of which she is open with and unashamed of. Sexually attracted to more or less anything that moves, and perhaps a few things that do not, meeting new people and new forms of life never fail to fill Amelia with an overwhelming sense of joy and excitement. Yes, we’ll just call it “excitement”… History: Amelia was born on Earth in the early 21st century to lower class family in Michigan, Ohio. Before her eyes had even fully cleared, her parents were astonished by the way she reached out at the blurred shapes that crossed her path, a gurgling awareness evident on her pudgy face. Her intellectual growth would be no less stunning, and at a mere six months old she was able to speak in clear sentences and walk (albeit clumsily) about her playroom. This unprecedented intelligence quickly made her a local sensation, as she created for herself simplistic yet automated toys at there mere age of four. By the time she had reached the age of six, her IQ had been measured at 250 on the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, mainly because the test was incapable of measuring anything beyond that. It had also quickly become apparent that making friends at school was a fruitless endeavour, due to her being so far beyond her peers. Thus, despite her brilliant mind, Amelia often found herself eating alone at lunch. It was perhaps for this reason that she showed little hesitation when offered the opportunity to advance quickly through primary and secondary school. Easily graduating high school before her seventh birthday, she likewise breezed her way to her first bachelor’s degree in just a year. Many more were soon to follow, each one taking progressively less time. Quantum Physics, Biology, Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical), Theoretical Physics, and non-Euclidean geometry were just some of the fields she claimed expertise in by the time she had reached the ripe old age of twelve. With little but scrap, she could build wondrous technological marvels never seen before or since. With the proper resources behind her, the sky was the limit. Because there were precious few problems that could challenge her intellect, it is perhaps for that reason she began dedicating more time to the one area she consistently performed poorly in: social interaction. Though considered quite attractive, Amelia…struggled with the concept of boundaries. Her aggressive come-ons drove many her age (or of any age) away. This didn’t truly bother her, for she was thankful to have something that didn’t come easily to her. But her relatively simple life would come to an end on the day the sky was torn open. From beyond the veil of reality came the Nor’Galesh, a race as powerful and merciless as it was alien. Within hours of bleeding through to our reality, their attack had left the militaries of much of the Earth in ruins. No one could understand their motive for attacking, for they made no attempt to communicate. Seeing the mass death sweeping across her world, Amelia, despite her very young age, joined with the remains of the United Nations to build the weapons necessary to combat these incomprehensible invaders. With her expertise behind them, they were able to stem the tide the Nor’Galesh before it could completely consume the planet. This was merely the start of a war that would span years, however. Deeply excited to directly have a hand in confronting a race of creatures with so many tentacles, Amelia developed her own personal weapons that would allow her to stand on the battlefield alongside the millions of fighting men and weapon who used her technology on a daily basis. Though the leaders of the U.N. forces were extremely reluctant to have their top military engineer risking her life, there was little they could do to stop her. As the years drew on, mankind slowly began to push the Nor’Galesh back, but were never able to score a decisive victory that could push them out entirely. This was because the dimension tear allowed new invaders to constantly pour forth to replace those who were slain. Realizing this herself, Amelia hatched a plan to lead an assault on the great tear in the sky. More than seven years after the invasion began, the united forces of Earth launched an all-out assault on the tear. The brutality of the fighting that day easily eclipsed even the bloodiest battles of the war up till then. Nevertheless, they succeeded in allowing Amelia to get close to the tear in her war mech, the Himeros Mk. IV. Having completed—after years of research—a device capable of mending the tear, she flew directly into the rift before activating it. Her plan succeeded, and the great tear was permanently sealed. But, as she had predicted, the process of closing the rift between their realities proved too much for the Himeros Mk. IV to handle, and it—and it’s pilot—were destroyed in the process. Amelia did not regret her decision in those final moments, however, for she firmly believed that death would merely be the start of an entirely new adventure of carnal discovery. …And completely normal, chaste discovery, of course. Magical Powers Section: None, though she is very aware of how magic works due to fighting the Eldritch-empowered Nor’Galesh for so many years. Most of her technology is made to be resistant towards it for that reason. Special Talents: Superhuman intellect. Tactical and strategic planning. Superhumanly advanced knowledge of mechanical, biomechanical, chemical, electrical, and magitech engineering. Overall highly advanced knowledge over numerous fields of science. Can create surprisingly potent weaponry from surprisingly little. Weapons: Name of Device: Cranial Implant Range of Device: Short Description of Device: Compensates for Amelia ostensibly being a normal human by greatly enhancing her reaction speed to match the supernatural threats she faces daily. Construction Time: N/A Weakness: Head Trauma can interfere with its operation. Name of Device: Pothos Mk. VI Utility Backpack Range of Device: Short to Long Description of Device: Contains a broad assortment of both combative and non-combative technologies. Amelia’s standard equipment that she always carries with her. Most prominently includes a sturdy omnidirectional deflector shield that can redirect powerful attacks both mundane and magical, and a vast array of bladed, ballistic, phase, and plasma weaponry capable of damaging magical creatures of various sorts—though particularly those of an Eldritch variety. It also includes a Quantum Immunity Field Generator that allows her to ignore time-altering spells and effects. Construction Time: Will take at least a week to build, but once constructed can be used indefinitely unless damaged. Weaknesses of Device: While her omnidirectional deflector shield might protect her from most direct forms of attack, Amelia remains a normal human beneath it. Should something find a way to circumvent the shield, she’s just as vulnerable as any civilian. Name of Device: Himeros Mk. IV War Mech Range of Device: Short to Long Description of Device: Amelia’s ultimate weapon. A massive 30-metre-tall war mech built for heavy-duty action against the Nor’Galesh and any other eldritch or arcane threat facing the Earth. It connects directly with her Cranial Implant to allow Amelia to directly control it as she would her own body. Its reinforced Priapus armour allows it to absorb most forms of magical attacks (while preventing attempts to phase through the War Mech) and redirect them into its arcane-powered chest panel or otherwise use it to temporarily boost the power of its Vernier thrusters. Despite its great size, it is fast enough to easily achieve escape velocity. It is durable enough to withstand multi-megaton nuclear impacts with only superficial damage. It is additionally surrounded by a Quantum-Immunity Field that nullifies any time-altering spells placed upon it. Its weaponry includes: A pair of wrist-mounted psionic blades capable of injuring even an Eldritch God. Twelve fixed twenty-kiloton railguns set at various locations on the front of the War Mech. Forty-eight nano-missiles launchers that, upon one successfully striking its target, will deploy nanites that will swarm into any available orifice and release a magic-nullifying toxin to temporarily rob them of their magic-based abilities (this can be lethal to beings that require magic to live). Arcane-fuelled chest panel energized by enemy’s magical attacks; at full charge can unleash a twenty-kilometre blast of considerable destructive power. Construction Time: Up to a year with the proper resources behind her. Impossible to construct without good materials. Weakness of Device: Its long construction time and considerable resource requirement. When she had the entire U.N. Military backing her, this wasn’t such an issue, but now it will be considerably difficult to find enough materials to reconstruct her greatest weapon. Armor/Clothing: Impact absorbent jacket that arrests most of the kinetic damage to her vitals when struck or thrown a considerable distance. Does not protect legs or head.
