Am I right in assuming we hit that point in tech where shooty lazer guns are normal?

Is this world more like just really shitty earth? Like if Mad Max lived here, but the world is still lush and everything here was designed to kill humans?

And finally wouldn't a 'Purebreed' human be shit here like shit tier shit? I think it would be there to pander to those people. I think I'm one of those people actually.
