Planning on a younger guy who just wants to break away from his mundane life and chase some adventure and adrenaline. Probably underestimates the danger out there severely, at least at first. [s]Until we run into an actual dragon and he turns out to be the one with the girliest scream.[/s]

Not sure about his position in the crew yet. I was thinking helmsman at first, but I'm not sure how realistic it'd be to hire a greenhorn to steer your boat. Unless he maybe has some street cred as having piloted some other vessels in the past exceptionally well (do they have airboat racing out there with some smaller vessels? Maybe he won a recent race and showed particular skill or something.)
