I know this may seem odd, but can I just flesh out my character's history IC through dialogue and the like? I feel like it would not only be more natural that way, but also help add to the overall creepiness factor of the character if no one knows how he became the way he is now. That and I kind of planned for this to be the start of his power stealing spree, not the middle or end of it.
