[@Double] There definitely [i]is[/i] magic in the game, so don't worry. It's split along the varied classes in four ways: Mages, Clerics, Shamans, and Adepts, all with distinct spells and roles. How [i]exactly[/i] magic works is being ironed out, but the best analogy I can make for it is it works mostly like Shadows of Valentia, where you learn/memorize specific magical spells at the cost of your own lifeforce. As an anecdote, in-world magic is very much seen as a hard "science". There's specific fields of study for it, and it's explained as a natural force in the world, much like how gravity and heliocentric astronomy were revolutionizing academia at the time; The same is true for Natural Magic. You could even see it as an extension of physics.
