He has no fear of hurting criminals, and especially in the beginning it wasn't much of a surprise when criminals were found with broken bones or concussions. Grim hits hard, fast, and dirty to prevent injury to those who don't deserve it - and if he thinks it will stop undesirables from returning to a life of crime or even just spilling back into the streets. Yet despite this thought process, and despite thinking that some people can't be rehabilitated and deserve to be put down like dogs, Zoey is reclutant to kill. She's done it before, she'd be foolish to think she isn't going to again, but she also knows that taking a life becomes easier every time, and maybe she's become too jaded to make that decision anymore. On a lesser note, due to cultivating the appearance of being a male, Zoey is also talented at switching her mannerisms and actions to be masculine - down to her very walk. Despite this she is still paranoid about revealing anything about her civilian persona and will rarely talk, even with her voice synthesizer. The exception to this is her teammates, and if she thinks it will soothe a person to be reassured.
Civilian Personality
The public face of Zoey Kasimir is well-crafted and honed, the billionaire coming off as little more than a ditz who inherited her family’s money. She's all big grins, flirty lines with no promise, and a bit of a day drinker that can come across as thoughtless at times. The best that could be said about Zoey is that she's always eager to help 'poor, suffering people'. While this of course includes eagerly funding her family's long-standing medical company, this also initially included focusing on poverty and metahuman rights. However as the latter became easier and easier to accept after the Justice League and the rise of heroes, she also included the rights of non-humans. She is always eager to talk about that particular topic and how to advance it, though seems to get a bit overwhelmed with the logistics of it. When not in the company of those who she needs to have these masks up for, Zoey’s quite different. In truth she's a prodigy, especially when it comes to all things technical. Her downtime from Grim or playing the necessary evil of social niceties is often spent tinkering on her hand-built tech or research in general. She can even be a bit of an awkward nerd when she gets talking about her current projects or papers that have caught her interest. Most of the time though, she's merely serious and grim - even her playful teasing is often done with a completely straight face. Yet most of the time she just seems ... worn out. Tired. Maybe even bitter. Not to mention a bit of a workaholic, on top of being a functioning alcoholic. There seems to be no end of crime, no end of evil, no end to those who get themselves hurt just trying to live their lives or even do the right thing.
Skills

Money.
Tech genius, general prodigy.
Advanced medical knowledge.
Insanely high protective instincts.
Finely honed reflexes at peak human condition, and further can ignore almost any pain.
Multiple unarmed fighting techniques.
Trained in most firearms and weaponry, with a specialization in long-ranged rifles, thrown projectiles, and small blades.
Has quite the memory, except for names oddly enough.
Resistant to all common poisons, and several exotic ones.
Powers
None
Vulnerabilities

Squishy, mortal human body with no powers.
Particularly vulnerable to technomancers, though the Nth metal helps the suit from being completely overtaken.
The Iron Fang armor is incredibly strong and helps reduce the gap between regular human Zoey and metahumans, but it could never compete against those who specialize in their area. As an example, it will never be faster than speedsters, and Champion could crush it easily.
Unhealthy coping mechanisms.
Gadgets
Suit in General

Composed of a mixture of Prometheum and Nth metal
EMP Shield
Extreme temperature control.
Radiation Proof
Morphine Injectors
Smoke screen valves across body
Entire suit can become electric, or overloaded to become an EMP that can cover an average sized city.
Can lift approximately one hundred tons.
Capable of flight via jets and extendable wings.
Self-Destruct ability.
Connected both to the Dog House's and the Justice Tower's computers via Alfred, but will severe the connection if attempted to use without Zoey's unique imprints (voice, fingerprints, ect).
Helmet

Helmet can retract.
Built-in voice synthesizer and gas mask.
Can become an oxygen mask as well.
Eye pieces are also tech and can display information to Grim, from receiving text messages, to looking up information, damage to the suit, or accessing the Dog House’s database.
Eye pieces can also, independent of one another: Zoom in, record, night vision, heat opticals, x-ray, and magic sensor.
Built in translators and scanner
All footage is recorded, but erased after one year unless specifically recorded to be saved.
Recording is uploaded in the Dog House’s database instantly, even in remote areas due to the Justice Station.
Left side of the frame covering her ear can stream police scanners and connect with her phone, both sides can enhance sounds as needed.
Left side also has a small, powerful flashlight, and a UV light.
Torso

Both forearms have extendable blades along the outer side that can be used to climb, as weapons, or to tear through most metals.
Right palm has an electrical current that can be used as both defibrillator or taser, as well as overcharged in combination with the plate around it as a small EMP.
Back of the right glove can emerge two small metal points. These are projectile taser prongs, launching forward with thin wires connecting them to the glove - the wires are easily detached with a flick of the wrist or if someone tries to grab them. Three dozen are stored at a time.
Inside of the left arm has a hookshot / grappling hook combination.
The palm of the left glove emits a special concoction of concentrated anaesthesia, capable of knocking a man out in seconds with just a small dose. It’s carried in a liquid form that emerges in a gaseous state. This can also emerge from valves along the shoulders and back if necessary.
The inside of the arm has a launcher, full of canisters of the anaesthesia or sticky pellets.
Back of the left glove are another set of small metal points, these ones hollow at the tip to spray a tear gas like substance or a highly corrosive acid. The tear gas can be lit aflame by the opposite hand’s taser as a flamethrower. The gas can also emerge from the shoulders and back, but not at the same time as the anaesthesia.
The fingertips have sensor pads that can act both as swabs to be uploaded to the Dog House, as well as type on keyboard visuals provided by the helmet.
Small valves in the left thumb can release both disinfectant or a clotting gel.
Dart launcher on the inside right wrist for tarantula hawk venom.
Short-range missile launchers can emerge from the shoulders.
The breastplate can open to shoot a barrage of riot or pellets.
Rapidfire firearms along the biceps, capable of changing ammo as necessary.
A small lockpick can emerge from the tip of her right pointer!
Miscellaneous

A number of smaller gadgets are stored in various places in the suit, such as compact communicators or penny-sized chameleon trackers, and can emerge from the bottom of the suits’ palms or inside forearms when summoned. The inventory can change day to day as Zoey replaces things she might need for missions. Among the most common are:
Electromagnet capable of erasing video and audio, scrambling cameras, and frying hard drives. Police-grade zipties. Rope-wire. Various medical supplies. Smoke bombs. Spare Tarantula Hawk darts. Sticky pellets. Snacks.

Small titanium throwing knives along the belt, upper arms, and lower back.
Blades that can emerge from both the front and back of Grim’s boots.
Small spikes can emerge from the bottom of the boots for traction.
Glider wings can emerge from the back of the suit, with small boosters on the lower back and shoes.

Grim Jet

Built using Magitech
Capable of traveling from one side of the US to the other in under 5 minutes at max speed, and withstand maximum speed for up to an hour without breaking apart
Magitech lasers can emerge from the bottom
Gatling guns on either side, capable of swapping between five types of ammo [normal, rubber, armor-piercing, incendiary, magitech]
A cache of liquid that, on meeting air, foams to smother fires
Has all the sensors of the armor on a larger scale
Computer connected to the Dog House
Grimobile

Is a car pyew pyew
Near indestructible, built like a tank, bulletproof
Can go underwater for up to two hours
Temperature controlled
Gatling guns on either side with the same ammo as the Jet
Laser on top
Flamethrower in front
Smokescreen
Can use a front or back hook to 'climb' walls
Amazing sound system
Motorcycle [We’re not calling it the Wolfercycle, damnit]

Speedy fast
Lasers
Can climb and hop
Near indestructible
Civilian Cars

All at least bulletproof, if not more defensive protections
Grim Gundam

Work in Progress because no one gives her enough time to work on it damnit.

Underneath Kasimir Castle lies the base for the Grim operations, the Dog House having expanded over the years to encompass the entire range beneath the castle and surrounding area. With enough room to spaciously build a Gundam, a garage, jet hangar, as well as miscellaneous rooms such as a medical bay and DNA lab, the prize of it all is the Grim Computer and Alfred, a highly protected system and AI that encompasses the technical operations, with multiple failsafes integrated inside of it. The AI Alfred is also connected to the Justice Tower and gives regular reports as well as warnings to Grim of anything necessary, on top of communicating anything needed to the rest of the Justice League. The Kasimir Castle itself has numerous protections built into it, from lockdown mode, to weaponry, to robotic sentry dogs.
Weapons
Grim’s weapons mostly consist of her gadgets, and are listed above. However, Kasimir Castle is home to a large number of firearms and weapons, as well as its own defenses. Most of these weapons are hidden due to paranoia. Notably, on the top level around the bedrooms is a mini gun.
Civilian Occupation
Comes from old money; owner of “Kasimir Realty”, “Kasimir Pharmaceuticals and Medical”, and more recently “Vanguard”. Various stock in other companies as well.

Character History/Origin
Maybe it was insanity that first jump started the legend of Grim, long before the name was ever given. Maybe it was youthful arrogance, maybe the genuine if misguided need to help, maybe it was the stories from her father of the great Actor Activists of old and how their family descended from one of their closest comrades. In truth, it was likely all of the above in a potent cocktail that would begin Grim's tale. It could've started with Henry Fawkes when he killed twelve people as the first metahuman to use his abilities for personal gain, but in truth it started long before that. It started when Zoey was a little girl, her loving family that was teetering on the verge of being split by the nasty word 'divorce' instead brutalized by something even worse. Death. A child will always be affected by the lose of a parent, and Zoey loved her mother. No matter how much of an accident it was - a bump from a stumbling junkie, a trip, a speeding vehicle - she had still lost someone so important to her. Her father was there for her however, and having always been a Daddy's girl it was a comfort to have. He encouraged her to do good in the world despite how ugly it could be, told her of their great ancestor that once did the same as the Actor Activists' personal doctor. Never once did Zaden Kasimir tell her she couldn't change the world. Which is why when Henry Fawkes did show up, it sparked that crazy idealism inside Zoey. What could an average teenage girl do, though? Well, it was lucky she wasn't average. A year after Henry Fawkes shook the world and let the grip of panic and fear take hold, the armored figure of Grim appeared. This was no Iron Fang armor he wore, as Grim would at a later date, but at the time it was enough. Single-handedly defeating an entire gang of metahuman criminals with tech, there was talk on if this glowing red demon was even human. Yet given his methods there was certainly argument that it was, and shortly after his appearance there was a surge of those who would herald Grim as a symbol for anti-metahumans despite his efforts to protect metahumans that were trying to help. Zoey hated that beyond belief, and spent a good portion of her time manually erasing mention of Grim in anti-human circles before developing a virus to do the job for her. For almost two years Zoey continued her half-mad crusader in Gotham and surrounding cities. Grim was a constant sight, helping metahumans and regular humans alike. Protecting people, solving crimes, developing more and more gadgets in his arsenal. Then one day Grim stopped appearing. It was mid-August of 2010 when Grim stepped in to stop what was supposed to be a simple mugging, something that would've been quick and easy on the way to something more serious. Except that Zoey recognized the man holding the knife. A decade had not been kind to Jeremy Weaver, the man who was responsible for her mother's doomed tumble into the streets. Zoey saw red. It was when she was pinning Jeremy down, slowly squeezing the life out of him while hissing the name of her mother so he would know who this was for that the pathetic excuse for a man blubbered out something shocking. That it wasn't his idea. He was just being paid. It was all her husband's idea. Most surprising of all was when Zaden admitted to his daughter's furious accusations with a simple "She was going to take you away from me." The grief and turmoil in Zoey wasn't at all abated by her father's subsequent confession to the police in a misguided attempt to ease his daughter's pain, and the budding technical genius isolated herself. It was only over a month later on Halloween that Grim stirred once more. For it was that night that started what would be the Two Month War. In the chaos of those first days, only one thought dominated Zoey's mind. Help them. Within three days Grim had managed to round up most of the children turned monsters that hadn't been killed in the initial emergence, at least that were in Gotham. It was in her labs of Kasimir Castle that she found that first desperate hope from analyzing their warped DNA, to the strange and magical signature they gave off. Zoey believed she could cure them, given enough time. Time she didn't have, considering the monsters invading not only Gotham but all of the continent. It was then that Zoey used her skills to send a message across North America as Grim, warning them to not kill anymore of the children-turned-monsters if they could help it. It wasn't purely a move to save them though, it was also as a morale booster. The act that Halloween night had broken many, and here was a shred of hope. Imagine her surprise when others sought Grim out. It took weeks to find out what her cure was missing, and it took two months to get that rare, final magical ingredient to counter the powerful curse - the blood of a Three Horned God. The rest, as they say, is history. In the ten years following the Two Month War, Zoey never again stopped what she did. Grim only improved over the years, and the Iron Fang armor is her greatest invention. With the backing of the other Justice League members, she even designed a space station and had it in orbit before the decade was over. Her Alfred AI helped control the day to day runnings of the Justice Station, as well as her own escapades. Just fighting crime wasn't enough, though. Zoey knew she could punch criminals and threats until her batteries completely went out, but there seemed to be a never ending tidal wave of those who would commit crimes. Further, in this new world after the Two Month War there was even more people who needed Grim's help. Except, Grim couldn't help them - not normally. Three years after the Two Month War, Zoey Kasimir officially formed the Vanguard Organization. This was an organization that would help impovershed non-humans and metahumans when no one else would. A cross between a charity and a business, Vanguard fought not only for others' rights but also assisted those that needed it, even investing in businesses ran by or for non-humans. Through it all Zoey just kept her dopey grin up and praised the appointed Head of Vanguard for their work, her own efforts turned to schmoozing with other Elite for the good of her new organization. Ugh. Social niceties. There was still so much to do however. A decade had passed, and there was still the Shattered Scar, still discrimination, still crime. As Grim, all he could do was his best to protect the world and its people. As Zoey, she couldn’t help but feel she had failed them.
Optional information Nemesis: Allies: Justice League, Commissioner Jasper Team: Justice League

Alias
Feast!
Civilian Name
A name that sounds equal parts growling and low pitches unheard to the human ear, but she’ll go by “Kailani”
Origin Planet
Pekelo
Hometown
Space!
Sex
Female
Race
The name is unpronounceable in human tongue (but if it was it would have an excess of X’s), but they're more commonly called Devourers - which was given to them by the Lantern Corp.
Height
4'11’’
Weight
Many
Age
17-ish
Birth Date
???

Icon
A happy face! In yellow!!
Personality
To many people, Kailani could easily be described as a puppy. Excitable, curious, and hasn’t quite learned the nuances of what is and isn’t a chew toy. She is incredibly upbeat, often sporting a toothy grin and bright eyes, as well as being incredibly hard to shake from that stance. Even death isn’t much of a dampener on her mood, being that she’s eaten plenty of people before - she sees bodies in a detached way and is never made queasy by death. It’s a good idea to keep an eye on her actually, considering that ‘eating’ is her usual way of exploring or discovering something she’s curious about. Which, again, is a lot. Everything appears new to Kailani, and she’s an eager student - so far she likes batteries! They make her tongue tingle. As an aside, she’ll often describe things by taste or texture rather than anything useful.
Skills

Eating!
Wait, there's more to skills than eating?
Powers
Black Hole: Kailani’s race is famous for their ability to devour anything. Solids, liquids, acids, rocks, bones - they can digest absolutely everything, as well as bite through everything with a combination of powerful jaws and strangely coated teeth, not to mention a reinforced throat. On the flip side however, they eat a lot, and if they don’t get enough mass ingested their bodies will begin to eat itself from the inside out. Alien Physiology: The armor-like hide and heavy density seem to travel over with Kailani whenever she’s in her human form - getting her on a scale will bring up extremely strange results. Adaption: These aliens are also extremely adaptable to their environment, as they have to be in order to eat whatever is in it! When they eat enough of a species they can take on qualities of it in shapeshifting - but not specific ones they ate, rather just a variation of the race. As well as that, due to being 'recycling creatures', their very lungs will adapt to whatever planet they’re in to purify the air; on earth they’d breathe in carbon monoxide and exhale oxygen if they adapted to humans instead of trees, as well as destroying harmful pathogens they inhale as their body attacked with the ferocity of breaking down whatever entered their bodies. Adaption Part 2: Electric Boogaloo: Part of the previous ability includes being able to pick up languages extremely easily, and even if their natural language of pitches and growls from large mouths full of sharp teeth can’t handle it that’s what the shapeshifting is for!
Vulnerabilities

Not eating actually is Kailani's weakness! Her species is incredibly ravenous, and her body will begin to eat itself after as little as six hours without food. Considering how much they eat, she'd die after only two days without food.
While being physically tough, Kailani is particularly vulnerable to mental attacks. Magic attacks are also trouble, except for inside her mouth strangely enough - it would require blocking with that instead of her hide which is kind of weird.
Doesn't know much about Earth and can be easily bamboozled!
Gadgets
None.
Weapons
None.
Civilian Occupation
Usually a crew member of the ship she's stowed away on. On Earth... err.... Foreign Exchange Student?

Character History/Origin
Historically, Devourers have a very mixed reputation. They were first discovered when their natural predator on the planet Zaox became endangered, allowing them to breed out of control and emerge from underground. Soon they were devouring cities, people, and it’s said the very planet - down to the last rock they stood on. After all, with their hardy constitution and adaptability if they could survive being without food long enough to hit another planet while floating around, they’d just continue on with engorging themselves on everything in its path. With that being said, Devourers when not hungry (or at least, not as hungry) showed an obvious intellect. Their bodies adapted to any place they were found, some being found green and covered in leafy foliage while others were course-skinned with diamonds seemingly embedded in them. More than that, they seemed to be able to almost understand any race they came across - sometimes as friends, more often as enemies. Eventually, someone had the idea to study them. From there, their benefits were discovered. A good, well-fed Devourer could completely replace a garbage compactor and seemed happy for it - better for the environment, better to not make an enemy of the dangerous creatures, hell, they purified the air of whatever planet they were on! There were still incidents, like what happened on Pekelo. No one can really say where the original Devourers came from. If a pregnant one had eaten its last planet and ended up landing on Pekelo, if someone smuggled some eggs in and lost them, or even if they had always been there but contained. What everyone on Pekelo knows is that one day they were discovered - a whole infestation of Devourers, having already eaten what was estimated to be a tenth of the planet’s core beneath the crust. It certainly explained the influx of earthquakes and cave-ins. A group of Devourers that big would never have a use, not when they couldn’t be contained. That’s why the Lantern Corps were called in. Devourers are strong, tough, fast - they needed the power of the Yellow Lanterns to be exterminated for the good of everyone on Pekelo. Not everyone agreed with the extermination, however. Devourers showed intellect, even if not typical of most alien races. They were useful, and to be honest they were rather lax creatures outside defending themselves and getting enough nutrition. So it was that certain members of Pekelo tried to rescue them. From smuggling them out personally, to hiding them, to hiring others to take them off world. Which is how Kailani ended up aboard the Atuum, with the mercenary Kyrona Starblazer. The third and last Devourer that was smuggled off world by the feisty mercenary, Kailani was the one that declined being dropped off on a planet her own to live. Young and adventurous, Kailani wanted to explore space off her little rock! There was so much out there to see, and to taste! Even the jerky Kyrona fed her was delicious! So for two earth years Kailani has been happily assisting Kyrona in her missions in exchange for being housed on the Atuum, not to mention her exorborant food costs when flying - when landed, it was easy enough to devour rocks and dirts or any manner of other things that were far more delicious. And now came their latest mission, not that Kailani paid particular attention to what they were doing. Just that they were heading to some backwards little planet called Earth. According to Kyrona's mission, it had a delicious food called 'cake'!

Additional Information
Nemesis: Allies: Team:
