Lindsey is a self-described anime and manga fanatic, and as a result, a shut in that has fantastical ideas of what her life could be. Maybe she too could be an ancient samurai warrior princess destined to be the Chosen One to seal the darkness away forever! The harsh reality of the world keeps from striding out of her hidey hole. Well, that and she's incredibly awkward. Like, seriously. Really awk. She's unlikely to look you in the eye and talk about things you hadn't known or wish you hadn't known ("Did you know that the magical girl, Kiwi Spice, totally had thing for Osaka?! You don't see it but they definitely kissed at the end there!!"). Oh, and lets not forget her tendency to state the obvious. 

At the end of the day, Lindsey is a harmless, albeit incredibly geeky girl who daydreams too much and really needs to get a new lease on life. Anime can't be everything, right? Wait. Hold on...

Yeah, see, and that's another thing. She can't be trusted to hold on to her meager paychecks. She is hot garbage at saving and will literally spend every cent on anime and anime accessories. PLEASE. Okay, so let's cut to the chase. Lindsey grew up [i]SUPER POOR[/i], mostly because she was brought up by her dad, Chester Bernard, who, while a decent person, was a gambling addict and threw away much of his own poor earnings to try and get rich quick. Mostly this was a coping mechanism for him since his wife and Lindsey's mother died in childbirth. There would be days where she had to stay with her grandparents, Robbie and Rebecca Bernard, while her dad tried to get his act together. This would be a constant cycle she got used to, and due to being thrown between households, she had no ambition to pursue friendships. Instead, she found the [i]INTERNET[/i] and all of its splendor. But as we all know, there's a rotting carcass beneath that wondrous invention, one that we all traverse and either walk away in disgust or embrace with a whole heart. Lindsey was one of those few who grasped onto it too firmly and never let go. Yeah, that's right, I'm talking about her stupid anime addiction. 

Her life became a shrine to everything anime, and her social life and education suffered because of it. Eventually, she stopped going to school entirely around her Junior year of high school, which is incidentally when she moved into her grandparents' home full time. Robbie and Rebecca were quick to force her to get a job if she wasn't going to go to school though! Certainly that would make her grow up, right? Uh... Well, no. Lindsey's obsession only grew tenfold once her granddad got her a job at the Lucky Stripe. She finally had money to spend on ridiculous garbage! Ugh. Okay, so now she's been at this job for a couple of years, and honestly, why do I bother anymore? She still lives with her grandparents too. Maybe something will happen that will change her life now though? PLEASE. IM BEGGING YOU.
