Thought I throw my hat in the ring. The character's basically going to be a(n) (anti)hero version of Deadshot. Secret Identity – Samuel Scott Codename – Skillshot Age – 20 Powers – - Trajectory Alteration: Skillshot can use his power to slightly change the trajectory of projectiles he throws/shoots. The faster the projectile goes and the smaller it is, the easier he can change it. He only can make slight alterations and as such can not completely stop or reverse a projectile's trajectory, nor can he change its speed or velocity.
-- (Undiscovered) Skillshot can passively sense projectiles nearby. The faster they go, the longer the range. This includes projectiles propelled by himself and anyone else. --- (Undiscovered) Skillshot can use his power on enemy projectiles as well. --- (Undiscovered) Skillshot can project his mind into that of the projectile he senses. This way for the short time the projectile has speed, he can see what the projectile sees and where it goes while being able to change its trajectory.
- Pretty Smart: Skillshot is a pretty smart guy. Although not directly a superpower, this helps him on a general basis in and outside the field.
-- Biology: Skillshot knows the general anatomy of almost all vertebrates, making him able to purposely hit or miss specific organs. -- Physics: Skillshot is an expert at Physics, in particular, but not limited to Geometry. He can easily bounce a bullet off objects to hit an otherwise unreachable target, and you DON'T want to play against him during pool when he is being serious. --- Projectile Interception: Predicting the trajectories of both his own and his target's projectiles, he can use his projectile to intercept the other, forcefully changing both trajectories. -- Programming: Skillshot is an above average programmer. He can hack through most standard firewalls and make his own applications on the go. --- Monday: A basic personal AI he made to guide him during his hours out on the field. Has a female voice and addresses him as 'Sir'.
- Weapon Expertise: Skillshot has experience with most standard weaponry like rifles and pistols. Weaknesses – - His physiology is completely human. Besides his power to bend trajectories and his above-average intellect and physique, he can die by anything that kills a normal human. - Because of his focus on long-range combat, his melee skills are lacking. When enemies come too close, he will have a hard time dealing with them. - He isn't much of a team player. He prefers to do things his way and also on his own. Personality – Precise, no-nonsense lone wolf Experience – 34 days Day Job – Software Developer How did Arrowcaster find you? Skillshot has been active for a bit over a month now. He predicted his next target, and 'ambushed' him. BRIEF Bio – Samuel Scott was a smart guy with a bright future. He soon discovered that he could change the trajectory of balls he threw through baseball, and when in his free-time shooting on his uncle's farm, he noticed the bullets went almost exactly where he wanted every time. He didn't know where this power came from, but he didn't look much into it either. However, he couldn't stand what happened in the city around him. Corruption, theft and assault everywhere. Someone had to step up, especially with all those heroes disappearing. When he rescued a person from being robbed by taking the gun from the robber and shooting him in the knee, he knew what he had to do. He would pick up arms against the darkness of this city. How will your character be different one year later? His skills would be developed, as he learns about his currently undiscovered parts of his powers as well as growing to fill his weaknesses by for example learning melee combat. Sample Post –
It was night. Skillshot was looking over the buildings through his scope into the alleyway. A serial rapist was known to come through here on a regular basis. It looked like he was just in time too: The suspect was just assaulting a passerby. Skillshot groaned from behind his dust-yellow mask. Filth like this shouldn't be allowed to be alive. Then again, if he killed him, he would be even worse. He lined up the crosshair of his hunting rifle. The girl was blocking the suspect's body, but that didn't matter. He aimed for a drain pipe on the alleyway's wall and took the shot. The bullet curved midair to countereffect the wind and hit the metal of the pipe, bouncing off straight through the suspect's right leg, making a clean flesh wound, before exiting the leg, just missing his private parts and repeating the process with his left leg. The suspect let go of the woman and cried out in pain. Behind Skillshot's mask, Samuel smiled, tapping his earpiece. "Monday, send the call. We are done here." A robotic female voice answered. "Sending the anonymous police call right away, Sir. Also, it seems you have a visitor." With a shock, Skillshot stood up and turned around, letting go of his rifle and taking out his sidearm. In front of him stood green figure, bow aimed straight at him with an arrow drawn. Once Skillshot aimed the gun, the figure let go of the string, and as if feeling something telling him something was coming, he took the shot straight at the arrow, hitting the tip and bouncing it off straight at the floor. The figure seemed about to draw another arrow, but Skillshot didn't fire. "Interesting... It's just like I expected." The figure said. Skillshot had already recognised the figure as the old hero Arrowcaster. "Not bad for an old man. So why are you coming after me of all people?" The green former hero lowered his arm. "I'm sorry for that shot. My aim was to disarm you so you wouldn't do anything rash but to shoot an arrow out of the air is no small feed. I am here because I wanted to see you in action, and because I want to ask you to be a part of my team." Skillshot shrugged. "A team? No thanks. I rather work alone." He said before lowering his gun and holstering it, before proceeding to pack his hunting rifle before the cops arrived. Arrowcaster was a bit taken back by this response, but he expected this. "Well, I can't force you. Just know that if you change your mind, come to this address. Also, a piece of advice: If you go on like this, you will soon be the one lying in the hospital, if not worse. I just want to train you to make sure that doesn't happen..." Skillshot turned around. "What do you mean, train-" He looked around to see the archery hero was already gone. "... Weird guy. I wonder what he meant with address..." His earpiece went off. "Sir, you have a message from an R. Rowcaster. Do you want me to read it for you?" Skillshot sighed. That's one way to do it, he supposes...
