He has a glorious beard, beady eyes, and usually looks pretty tired all the time. It is fairly clear that he doesn't put all that much effort into his clothes, usually just wearing a standard shirt and jeans combo, occasionally throwing in a hoodie or jacket if it's cold enough. He has multiple scars on his torso and lower arms. He has no piercings, because needles are really scary.
{Habits & Quirks}
He greatly enjoys his rest time, and more often than not you can find him either sleeping or otherwise resting in some way. He's the kind of person who sighs a lot, mostly when people actually get him to do something other than resting, or pursuing one of his few hobbies. Sadly, despite how rarely he actually wants to, he usually ends up willingly walking into the middle of whatever chaos is currently taking place, because it's the stupid right thing to do... Also currently trying to quit smoking. He is only kind of succeeding. He is less adamant about quitting drinking. There's also the fact that he actually came to Salem in the first place because he had gotten a hint that his childhood friend, Hannah Washburne, might have traveled there, as he had been searching for clues to her possible location since she disappeared two years ago.
{Abilities}
Jeremy actually has fairly small reserves of magic compared to most other witches or warlocks. As such, almost all areas of magic that manipulate the world around the user take too much energy to produce any more than minuscule result for him. The best he can do in that regard is enchanting objects, something he does on a regular basis. It's easy enough to write runes and store his magic in them as it recharges, after all. However, his real area of expertise is in the rather dangerous art of manipulating his own soul. Through the use of what little magic he can muster, he takes his soul and uses it to fine tune his own body, giving him brief periods where he is faster, stronger and more durable than normal humans. His senses also become sharper, and if he is able to reach out to another and connect with their own soul, the two souls can resonate with each other, allowing the two to move in unison like a fine-tuned machine. Meanwhile, if he takes a similar path with an enemy, he can forcefully blast a small fragment of his soul into their own, weakening the connection between their souls and their bodies and potentially even causing internal damage, depending on the size of the fragment. Finally, if he really pours his soul into it, he can form barriers out of a combination of his own soul and most of his magical energy. Outside of magic, Jeremy is also quite talented at martial arts, and is exceptionally skilled with firearms, because despite his general laziness, he still realises that his two choices are train or be horribly killed.
{Limitations}
As it turns out, actively manipulating your soul is actually rather dangerous. He gets maybe ten minutes at best before it starts to literally corrode his veins. This is only made worse if he decides to fragment his soul for an ability, which not only weakens him both physically and mentally, but also lowers the time he can use his soul magic.
{Personality}
♦ Clever ♦ Lazy ♦ Idealistic ♦ Abrasive ♦

Jeremy is quite a lazy person when it all comes down to it. He's the kind of person who rarely does much unless he feels he has to, instead preferring to simply sleep or rest. When someone does convince him to do something, even when that someone is himself, it is usually done with a sigh, as if he'd rather not be doing it. Even then, he still prefers peace and quiet, making his displeasure obvious if things get too loud or chaotic. He can become quite irritating and sarcastic as he complains too, making him quite the painful person to be around in those kinds of situations. However, that's not to say it's all bad. Despite his many, many flaws, Jeremy is the kind of person who willingly walk into the flames to try and pull people out, even if he does complain the whole time. In much the same way, he will always hear someone out if they come to him with their problems. Again, there'll probably be a fair amount of sarcasm in his responses, but at the core of it he'll always do what he can to help. He is also fairly protective of normal humans, and doesn't particularly appreciate it when they are targeted by the supernatural community in any way. However, at the same time, he tries to see the best in everyone, be they vampire, werewolf, witch or other, and is equally disapproving of humans who go after the more harmless supernatural beings, like vampires who feed from animals. Of course, he shows no outward signs that he even knows about all that stuff until he has to, so anyone he might fight will underestimate him giving him the advantage of surprise.
{Place of Origin}
Ipswich Massachusetts
{Background}
In his younger days, Jeremy was a pretty shy kid, rarely speaking out and preferring to keep to himself. He lived alone with his mother and due to being fairly poor, he spent a lot of his time gardening and fishing to help lighten the load on his mothers wallet, as well as cooking it while she worked multiple part time jobs. It wasn't until he was seven that his life changed forever, his mother introducing him to the daughter of her new boss. As it turns out, she may very well have also been the devil herself. Hannah Washburne. Of course, he only thought this because of the way she immediately dragged him into all kinds of crazy, troublesome situations, all the while being as condescending as a seven year old can be. It wasn't until they were ten that he found out she was a witch, when she accidentally summoned some kind of terrible tentacled monstrosity straight out of a Lovecraft novel, and got him to help her kill it. From there, it was just one terrifying day after another, with a new incident happening about once a fortnight. Eventually, he got good at using the gun Hannah had pushed on him, and she decided to see if maybe... just maybe... she might be able to teach him a little bit of magic. Of course, she didn't actually expect it to work, so when it did she was just as surprised as anyone else would be, because neither him nor his mother knew anything about it. Hannah's father, who was in fact a powerful warlock, was equally surprised. As soon as Hannah showed him that Jeremy could use magic, even if it was incredibly limited, and immediately tested his mother to see if she could use it too. As it turned out, she could, and was in fact immensely more powerful than Jeremy. From that point on, he took them both under his wing, bringing them to live in his mansion so he could more easily train them. While he taught the two how to control their new abilities, Hannah continued to drag him around and deal with supernatural disturbances. Eventually, Hannah's father found out just what she and Jeremy were doing every night, and needless to say, he was not particularly happy when he found out just how much danger she was putting the pair of them in, but after discreetly tailing them one night, he noticed that the now young teenagers actually were legitimately talented at the job by now. Realising that Hannah would find a way to keep doing it no matter what he did to try and stop her, and that Jeremy would almost certainly follow after her to make sure she didn't get herself killed, he decided to do the next best thing and teach them how to be more effective himself. He was the one who taught Jeremy how to correctly enchant items, how to use the dangerous magic of soul manipulation, and just how dangerous it was. Meanwhile, Hannah would drag him out to train between hunts, the honing his hand to hand skills and firearm skills. As time went on, and Hannah continued to drag him out to fight horror after horror, Jeremy's shyness faded away to reveal a person who was just... perhaps 'tired' would be the best word. He no longer even registered how terrifying the things he faced were, instead just sighing and telling Hannah that she was going to get him killed one day as they left the mansion. And then, when the pair were twenty-five, Hannah vanished. No one knew how it happened, whether she had left willingly or if there was something terrible behind it. Either way, there wasn't a single night where Jeremy didn't find himself wandering the streets looking for any detail he could find. Eventually, after half a year of searching, he got word from one of the their contacts that someone of Hannah's description had been seen in Salem, and rather than wake up early to make the forty minute drive each morning, it would be easier to just find somewhere cheap to live in the town. He'd probably be doing most of his searching at night anyway.
{Extra}
He doesn't have a car. Instead, he owns a green scooter to drive everywhere. Also yes I read the rules.
