Fortunate, that we didn’t need to engage in battle to save the city.’[/color] Mariette had been prepared to call in her full power on the rising threat, but as it turned out Penrose was strong enough to handle it themselves. Good, a battle between the forces of two Horrors could have turned out disastrous.

[color=1462ba]‘Freya, everything good on your end?’[/color] Mariette asked, looking to her monster-girl companion with long, furred snake-tail instead of legs as well as furred claws for hands, yet human torso for some reason.

[color=fcda2b]‘Yeah, with the storms and graveyard distracting everyone, it was easier to move, and with me around we could avoid everyone thinking like us, taking advantage of the situation,’[/color] Suzette boasted, confident of her abilities.

After all, there were things only Taihei could do.

[color=fcda2b]‘… Fueh. Knowing this takes the fun out of it,’[/color] Suzette said, looking over at Lea with a tired look. [color=fcda2b]‘… You mean me being shot while carrying her protective artifact was all me? Geh.’[/color]

[color=faf07f]‘Still! It’s great for us! Right, Taihei?’[/color] Josefin said, positively shining at Taihei. Taihei still looked back at Mariette.
