Before I begin my awards post, I would just like to give a few words to a select few people that I think deserve it. This might seem a little unusual but I just wanna offer gratitude to [@Master Bruce], the creator of the Ultimate One Universe RP that inspired me to join another one if I was given the chance again. I lurked on that RP for hours, marveling at its beauty and thinking to myself ' I'd like to join this RP one day'. Without his creation of UOU, I wouldn't have thought of creating Static. I certainly wouldn't have had the courage of interacting with any player in that RP beforehand and I most definitely wouldn't have thought that a sandbox RP had a chance of succeeding and not immediately falling apart on the ground. That RP, which I unfortunately regret being unable to join, restored my faith and confidence in this site which was the ultimate factor for me joining Absolute Comics. I'd also like to thank [@Lord Wraith], [@Inkarnate] and [@ComradeMaxx] for accepting my character concept and allowing Static to be a part of the Absolute-Verse. Lastly, I'd like to thank [@Moskau Spieluhr] for breaking my expectations that I wouldn't be able to find a viable crossover in this RP and for constructing a vision of Dakota City alongside me. I hope we have the opportunity to do a Vixen/Static crossover in the future together. I'd like to note that I'm not selecting the Best Post nor Best Crossover awards yet as I feel that whilst there are a great many posts to select from now, there are even more waiting on the horizon, especially with the incoming arrival of the crisis event.
◼ BEST CHARACTER CONCEPT: [@Hillan] THE REVERSE FLASH
To me, the best character concepts for this type of RP are the one's that are radical without shattering your suspension of disbelief, that push the envelope of what would be considered the norm and respect the source it is based on. When these factors are backed up by a solid execution, the results can be extraordinary. There would have been a dozen ways to make this concept utterly flop by any other lesser player but Hillan manages to make the idea of a heroic Reverse-Flash aka the man who would run over Barry's dog with a car if he had a chance believable. The runner up to this are [@AndyC] cancelled Superman concept (That I wished he'd ran with) and [@Byrd Man] as the Shadow.

◼ BEST CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT: [@DocTachyon] Spider Man
Like I previously said in the above award, there could have been a lot of ways that you could screw up Black Suit Peter into an edgy misanthropic mess. As Spider Man 2 was my very first comic book movie when I grew up back in 2005, it heartens me to see such a new yet refreshing update on the character of Peter Parker. I am hooked on this version of Peter and how he has to deal with the classic Peter luck platter of balancing the Amazing Spider Man and ordinary teenager Peter Parker. The black suit also really adds another dimension into Peter's characterisation throughout DocTachyon's prose as its subtle influence digs its way into Peter's conscience. Runner Up includes [@HenryJonesJr] Thor and [@ComradeMaxx] X-Men.

◼ BEST SEASON : [@HenryJonesJr] Thor
Aside from exploring a story-line concept that was introduced in the MCU's grand swansong, Thor's galactic space adventures have this sort of whimsical yet grandiose tone to them; a byproduct of what happens when you combine two of Marvel's most mythical and fantastical elements together. HenryJonesJr manages to distinguish each voice from one another in this story and with such a large cast of ensemble characters, it's an impressive feat. Runner up includes [@webboysurf] Captain America and [@Roman] Daredevil

◼ BEST STORY ARC : [@DocTachyon] SPIDER-MAN
Again, DocTachyon proving that he knows the in and outs of this iconic character like no one else I've seen on this forum. Peter's story arc is a classic coming of age story; a Bildungsroman that subverts what we've come to expect from decades of media surrounding this character. It is captivating how Doc is able to give justice to the complex social dynamics between Peter's civilian life and his supporting cast as well as his intriguing vigilante life. Runner up includes: [@Bounce] Captain Marvel and [@Lord Wraith] Batman.

◼ BEST ANTAGONIST : [@Roman] KINGPIN
Good lord, Roman's depiction of Wilson Fisk is goddamn terrifying in this RP. Roman's manages to sell the Kingpin, a classic villain of Daredevil, as both a physical and mental challenge for Matt Murdock. I don't know what it is but there is a certain...stage presence whenever Roman writes the dialogue for Willy over here, a conviction as if it were. Runner up include [@Inkarnate] Lex Luthor and [@Dblade26] Brick

◼ BEST SUPPORTING CAST: [@DocTachyon] SPIDER-GANG
I feel like this is a trend at this point. Doc's cast not only are colorful as well as distinct but serve as a means to directly challenge and characterise Peter through their interactions with one another. Peter's trio of friends, Jonah Jameson, Uncle Ben and Aunt May along with ComradeMaxx's X-Men included in their crossover are just wonderful in every way possible. Runner up includes [@ComradeMaxx] X-Men and [@Lord Wraith] Bat Crew (Old Man Wayne FTW!)

◼ BEST WORLDBUILDING: [@Hexaflexagon]
This man is the master of mystic storytelling. Hex's ripe, eldritch imagery and decadent prose through the perspective of Zatanna delves deep into the occult and strange without ever losing its sense of allure. There's just the right amount of exposition and lack of detail that makes Hex's world seem alive. The runner up candidates are [@ComradeMaxx] and [@Star Lord]

◼ THE ABSOLUTE BREAKOUT CHARACTER - THE SHADOW by [@Byrd Man]
There's good character concepts and then, there's this guy. Holy shit, I didn't expect this at all. Byrd Man's The Shadow was a surprise but not an unwelcome one at that. My only familarity with the character was that he was inspiration for Sam Raimi's the Dark-Man. Combined with Byrd's penchant for noir-crime story-lines, I have become interested in a character that I never thought I would ever see in an RP of this magnitude. Runners up includes [@Moskau Spieluhr] Vixen and Nancy (What's a little nepotism between friends?) as well as [@Simple Unicycle] Blade.

◼ THE ABSOLUTE MVP - [@Lord Wraith] and [@Retired]
Give it up for these two. I've participated in two of Wraith's game so far and he has always managed to be an effective yet fair GM where it counts. Without [@Retired], there would be no active effort in this RP to pursue and value criticism of their work. Retired's selflessness in giving honest advice and critcism to his roleplayers whilst sacrificng his capacity to write IC posts is nothing short of spectacular.
Well, that's it. I'll be doing Best Post and Best Crossover after the Crisis so this will likely be my last post on this thread before the crisis starts. Static loves you all.
