[color=DE2800]History:[/color] She was born on the mainland, then moved to the island Sangtan with her parents in a small primary wave of Grenheim colonists. She grew up playing with local boys and working hard for her family, and eventually was contracted at age 22 to the Lin family's manor to be the daughter's personal servant. She tended animals with the stable boys and assisted in cleaning the servants' quarters for a year until the daughter returned home from university.
Then, the arrangement changed. She cleaned the daughter's room, helped dress her,  assisted in bathing her, brought meals to her when she was ill, bandaged her when she injured herself, and accompanied her every day to feed and take care of the animals. They quickly grew close.
Very close.
Closer than a noble and her servant ought to be.
Jessie's indifference towards animals transformed into an attitude of respect as she observed Melati's love for them. Her reverence to her masters transformed into simple obedience as she came to know Melati better. Though she knows her rank and would not dare act above it, there is nothing in the world that is worth changing her friendship with her mistress. They are inseperable friends. Nothing more, and nothing less.

[color=DE2800]Brief Personality:[/color] Around nobles and Melati, Jessie is bashful and refined, with a delicate hand and a tendency to keep quiet. Amongst people of her own class, her brash side comes out. She grew up running with and wrestling the boys, and her matter-of-fact attitude shows when Melati isn't there to have her feelings hurt. However, there is no surer way to catch her ire than by making a crude joke or implication.

Long, curved claws extend just past the fingertips with rings that wrap around her digits and wrists. The claws are made of iron with a thick, sharp spike jutting out from the thumb and more spikes that protrude from her knuckles. The claws are heavy and articulated, and are capable of gripping and reopening with her hands. 

[color=DE2800]Function:[/color] Energy from the surrounding wildlife, from animals that Jessie's partner Melati summons, and from Melati herself is siphoned and used to empower Jessie. Her attacks are stronger, her bones are resilient to blunt force, and her skin is more resistent to breaking.
