As the Morikaze clan played a small but important part in founding the village that housed it, it was only natural that their eldest daughter learn to uphold and defend their legacy. What was not expected was that Shizuka would excel, or to what degree. Her parents worried that their quiet little Shizu would wilt under the combined pressure of the demands of honor and the demands of academic life. They needn't have worried. Shizuka took her clan's role to heart at an early age, and though she said little, she learned much by watching and listening. You might be surprised how many things people say around quiet, serious young girls, not expecting them to be heard or remembered. This served her well, and the knowledge she gained let her graduate near the top of her class as well as making her an excellent candidate for the ANBU program. Now she has to live up to that reputation as well, which may prove a greater challenge.[/color][/indent][/indent][/indent]

Keeping multiple objects airborne was a fundamental skill for the basics of shurikenjutsu, and juggling was a non-combat method for growing proficient. An unexpected side-effect was Shizuka's appreciation for the art of juggling, one that she practices regularly during her downtime.

[b]Scouting:[/b] The Morikaze clan's claim to fame is their role in helping scout out the location for what is now Konoha, and both of Shizuka's parents did what they could to ensure that the clan's legacy lives on in her. An outside observer might have considered their training methods...lax, but countless hide-and-seek games and long camping trips helped hone Shizuka into a hunter, tracker, and wilderness survivor worthy of her family's reputation.

[b]Tactics:[/b] As long as Shizuka can remember, her father's squadmates would come over to her house to drink once a week and talk about missions they'd run together. And she would always listen. Though she's not sure if she started reading about combat tactics to try to understand the stories better or to figure out how much of the stories were impossible, it led to her getting a decent grasp of battlefield theory which she still works to expand.[/color][/indent][/indent][/indent]

[b]Chameleon's Rainbow (Transformation Technique):[/b] Shizuka transforms herself, with a marked preference towards plant life. Hand seals: Dog, Boar, Ram

[b]Go to Ground (Cloak of Invisibility Technique):[/b] Shizuka drops flat under a mottled cloth, using chakra to help mimic the appearance of low-lying plant life or bare ground. Hand seals: None

[b]Sealing/Unsealing Technique:[/b] As a practicioner of shurikenjutsu, Shizuka needs ready access to several varieties of throwing implements at a moment's notice, and carrying them all would be impractical to the extreme. [b]Stinging Gust (Manipulated Shuriken Technique):[/b] After flinging a shuriken or kunai, Shizuka alters its trajectory by means of a durable translucent elastic string attached to it. [b]Wind and Water Walking (Chakra Adhesion):[/b] Shizuka is skilled to an almost absurd degree at chakra adhesion, to the point that some mockingly (and grudgingly) say she could walk on a breeze. She can move across vertical surfaces, uneven terrain, and water with the same ease that most people move across solid ground. She uses this skill to gain high vantage points, both for tactical usage and for her own amusement. Hand seals: None

[b]Wind Release: Zephyr Step:[/b] Shizuka can propel herself quickly across the battlefield with summoned wind, and through focused training has developed it to the point where she is able to do so with a one-handed seal, leaving the other free for a throwing weapon. Zephyr Step combines the maneuverability of a Body Flicker Technique with the jet propulsion she accidentally created using Eye of the Storm. Though it is faster than she can run and uses less chakra than a Body Flicker, it does have a limited range and, unlike a proper Body Flicker, she remains visible to the naked eye.
