Not immediately vital but should get one eventually. But it's definitely not required to draw it yourself! The art on the character sheets I'm using is not mine. In fact... One of them is a Bleach character cuz my kid was originally made in d&d (naruto campaign). Originally made him as jokingly stereotypical as possible... And over time he developed into much more.
Also later i watched Bleach (was a mistake) and went "wait a minute... That guy looks like that character i made exactly! He stole my idea..."
