The Mekakushi are a small clan, comprising mainly of low ranked shinobi and civilians due to their bloodline, the Surge Release, which often makes them ill-suited to ninja duty. Nevertheless, they played a role in establishing the village's infrastructure, and have established themselves as a significant merchant clan. Mekakushi can often be quite nasty to those of their clan who try to become ninja, through a mix of jealousy and dislike of their Kekkei Genkai.[/color][/indent][/indent][/indent]

[indent][indent][indent][color=Fuchsia]Father: Dai Mekakushi. After a short-lived shinobi career, he buried himself into business and is now a reputable and considerably wealthy businessman. Large, jovial and considerate. He has a fairly good relationship with Taka, always having been supportive of him, but can be a little distant. He's a good guy to drink with. Takayuki's often too busy to see him nowadays.

[indent][indent][indent][color=Fuchsia] Taka is a very driven person, determined to prove himself to the world. His clan was often mocked for being incapable of simple jutsu thanks to their 'useless' bloodline, and it left a deep imprint on him. As a young student in the Academy, he was often bullied, and soon made an oath to put his traits to good use. Since then, he's defied the world multiple times, creating a deep sense of pride as he made his way to Jounin rank. He reacts badly to anyone who ignores this, as well as those who make life hard for the unfortunate. On the other hand, he can be a very kind person, willing to do a lot for people he may not know that well. He makes friends for life, and refuses to back down from protecting them. The same would go for any students of his. He speaks clearly, in a fairly relaxed tone of voice, and it's rare to see him without a small smile on his face. Whether it's bitter, prideful, happy or whatever else is hard to tell. However, there is a deep rage inherent in Taka, running hidden below the surface. Rage at himself, his family, the world; all things. He tends to channel this towards something constructive, but this isn't foolproof. He would chase someone to the ends of the earth if they dared harm someone precious to him, and if he were to break... Well, let's just say that it wouldn't be pretty.[/color][/indent][/indent][/indent]

[indent][indent][indent][color=Fuchsia] Taka was born to a fairly happy household. His father, being occupied with business, didn't often see him, but he loved the man just the same, and often tried to impress him. He doesn't remember his mother well, but she was the more competent ninja, as well as his inspiration. Later, when she died of an unidentified illness, He swore to become a ninja who would make her proud. During this time, he trained in hand to hand combat using his mother's scrolls, while becoming much closer to his father, who made an effort to spend more time with his son. 
Taka first learned of his clan's reputation in the academy, which he managed to enter at the age of eight, but refused to let it deter him. Those early years were some of his hardest. He grew up under pressure both from himself, those around him, and the world. As he forced himself through the academy, the village grew around him, and after graduating, he found himself dropped into a bloody world. He soon became renowned for his steadfast determination and fierce protectiveness, and was granted a field promotion to Chuunin after saving his squadmates' lives
Throughout this time, he was gradually honing his skills, and was able to make small contributions to the village's stregth and reputation, despite barely being a teenager. This was mainly a combination of tenacity, and the rage instilled in him by the deaths of his teammates. Later on, having further honed his skills, he took the Jounin trials and was promoted, gaining a fearsome reputation as a powerful ninja, as well as potentially the fastest man alive.[/color][/indent][/indent][/indent]

[indent][indent][indent][color=Fuchsia] Surge Release: A Bloodline which causes an abnormally fast flow of Chakra through one's coils. While this makes control difficult, and thus makes learning conventional Jutsu much harder, the clan's ninja element has learned to utilise it in unique ways, leading to the formation of a distinct style. When applied to physical Chakra, it allows for a sudden and insane burst of speed.[/color][/indent][/indent][/indent]

Even without his high-end techniques, he's probably one of the fastest men alive, capable of running at a constant 80 mph for days before depleting his chakra, and sprinting at speeds in excess of 150 for short periods. His perception is also impeccable, with reaction times within a fifteenth of a second. He's a competent flower arranger, enjoys pottery, and is renowned for his decoupage.[/color][/indent][/indent][/indent]

[indent][indent][indent][color=Fuchsia]Due to how wild his Chakra is, many of his techniques require long chains of hand seals. While he's fast enough that this doesn't impact combat too badly, it does mean that losing the use of a hand could potentially be very bad.

[hider=Lightning Release] The speed at which chakra exits his Tenketsu means that Taka's lightning techniques are dense, volatile and carry extremely high currents
Plasma Flicker: A strobing cloak of extremely bright Lightning Chakra that surrounds Taka, making his movements seem jolted and stuttering. It can also induce seizures if pushed far enough, and has the effect of a flash bang when dispelled.
Shocking Ram: A dense aura of Lightning around the arms, torso and head which tears and electrocutes anything in front of him. Can't be held for very long without risk of self-injury.
Typhoon cutter: A thrown kunai tied to ninja wire and set at a spin. Lightning chakra is conducted down the wire and creates a kind of drill.
Plasma Wave: A simple discharge of chakra. Up to seven high-impact currents of lightning blast from Taka's body and home in onto a target.
Surge Release - Godspeed Shroud: Taka imbues his own body with Surging Lightning chakra, Allowing him to access his highest speeds, and boosting his offensive capabilities significantly. Can be held for around 2 to 3 minutes in combat, Or for several hours when running From full chakra reserves. It also spikes his hair.

[hider=Fire Release]Taka's Fire techniques Burn hot and fast, usually appearing bright green, and tend to cause high damage for a short period of time.
Surging Flare: A variant on the great fireball that travels faster and is more accurate, at the cost of losing some potency. Its trajectory can be controlled to an extent.
Exploding Flame Shot: A ball of Fire chakra that's hurled at an opponent and bursts on impact
Surging Phoenix Flower: A cloud of small, hot and blindingly quick fireballs that can move independently. Not very powerful, but useful for distraction or concealing projectiles
Burning Assault: Taka cloaks his hands in fire and launches a barrage of punches and palm strikes at an opponent, moving fast enough that his hands are a blur.
Flash Fryer: A pulse of Fire Chakra is forced into the ground, where it shockwaves out, harming anyone within its radius.

[hider=Surge Release] Taka is always using his surge chakra for something, from moving to jutsu. It makes his movements faster, his perception quicker, and his Jutsu wilder. He invented all of these Jutsu himself. Most of these techniques drain his already wild chakra even faster than usual. As such, other than the Surging flicker, which only drains a little more than the standard shunshin, he only uses them when absolutely necessary.

Supreme Phase: By planting his feet and channeling fully activated Surge chakra through his body, Taka can vibrate so quickly that attacks phase straight through him. He can't move while using it, and can only hold it for a few seconds, but it only takes one hand seal, or five one-handed seals, and is a perfect guard.
Surging Flicker: An upgrade to the shunshin that moves at incomprehensible speeds, allowing him to pop around a battlefield at will.
Godspeed Flicker: By imbuing the Surging flicker with the Godspeed shroud, Taka's perception of time slows to a crawl for a second of real time, letting him act at what he perceives as normal speed for ten seconds. The sheer physical and mental strain of this technique means that even from full reserves, any more than three or four uses without rest could incapacitate or even kill him, but it allows an incredible advantage.
Assassination Mirage: By Activating the godspeed shroud while Plasma Flicker is active, Taka can leave afterimages of himself that are present at the same time as him.  Picture a copy of Taka, moving slightly later than him, and slightly behind, When actually, he's moving REALLY fast, and using the strobe effect of the Plasma Flicker to confuse an opponent's eyes. By combining this with shadow clones, Taka can cause potentially deadly levels of confusion in an enemy. This technique causes lightning burns if used for too long.
