Her pale skin matches her platinum blond hair, her clothes usually adorned with several bangles and jewels that make noise whenever she moves. Both clothes and hair have a constant windswept look about them, a light breeze often accompanying her wherever she goes. Vena's mark is on the back of her neck and takes the shape of a simple, four pointed star. Or so she has been told, she can't see it. Despite the hardships of her travels, she does her best to stay optimistic, preferring not to worry too much about the future and focusing on living in the moment. As a result, she comes off as very easy going, with few things in this world able to throw her off kilter or get her to worry. Whatever happens, happens: you can't control life but you can control how you react to things. She holds this creed close to her chest, so to speak, firmly believing that each individual is the master of their own fate. She is bold and opinionated, often speaking her mind with or without prompt. Despite having no practical combat experience, she knows how to stand her ground when threatened, unfettered by bullies or those who would try to push her around. Getting bossed around is a quick way to spark her temper, often turning her rebellious purely out of spite. She is quick to jump to action, brash and impulsive with both actions and words. To her the most important thing is freedom, but she comes off as rather flighty as a result. She is also initially distrusting of nearly everyone she meets, feeling that almost everyone has some ulterior motive.
Biggest Fear
Freedom is important to her, both physically and mentally, so her biggest fear is experiencing the sensation of getting trapped in any capacity. Having lived a majority of her life in open spaces and the freedom to do as she pleased, Vena isn't a fan of getting tied down to anyone or anything. Small spaces in particular tend to freak her out, especially if there's no visible way of leaving.
Greatest Dream
Vena wants to see the world in its entirety; she had always assumed she was satisfied with the way her tribe lived, but after striking out on her own, she realized that world outside her village was enormous with many things to see. As it is custom for her to return someday, she wants to make sure she sees as much as possible before settling down...if she ever gets around to that, that is.
Background

A strand of air nymphs often found in the Anemone Valley. Their close association with nature spirits give them an enhanced understanding of plants and animals, having a natural affinity for wind magic and the ability to cast without incantations. Despite their seclusion, they are open to travelers, only barring them from the deepest villages where tribal leaders and their worshipping temples reside. The valley is unnaturally windy, said to have been blessed by the spirits. In times of invasion said winds specifically target outsiders and push them away. Aurai often stay with their tribes until they become of age, leaving their village to go on a journey of self-discovery and only returning to settle down. Well known for their songs and appreciation of the arts, their voices are said to be divinely blessed, resulting in mesmerizing songs said to draw people in. However, the lone traveler should be wary; the more mischievous Aurai have a tendency to use their allure to draw travelers in, their possessive nature unwilling to let them go.

The Ouranio tribe is closely associated with the spirits of nature, offering sacrifices at their temple in times of need. Spiritually is heavily valued among them with an inclination towards respecting nature coming second handedly. As one of the oldest tribes, they often give counsel to their neighbors and provide guidance. Their current issue lies in a large generational gap due to many of their youth never returning once they leave. Rumor has it that outsiders value the beauty of nymphs, with the Aurai being targeted due to their naïve nature once they leave home. Ouranio Aurai in particular are considered top tier among the tribes, though aside from a collective standard of blonde hair and green eyes, there isn't much of a difference between the Ouranio tribe and any of their neighbors. The elder has warned those who stray to be wary when they travel.
Born the fifth daughter to Vlyn and Aloa, Vena's life was mostly typical for her kind. As the youngest of the pack, she ended up studying magic under her oldest sister. Eventually her sisters began their journeys, leaving her to help out her family with their hunting. The few interactions with whatever outsiders visited her village sparked a curiosity, slowly opening up the idea of the world outside. When her sister returned with both a husband and a pregnancy, she shared her tales with her and the sights she visited. Vena was completely fascinated, her eagerness only growing with each sister that returned. When it came time for Vena to go, however, that eagerness evaporated somewhat. Sure, the idea had been interesting at first, but actually going out there alone? It was embarrassing to admit that it took her the better of a month to finally leave the outskirts of the valley, though once she hit her stride, there was no going back. She had the good fortune to visit her first town during a festival, finding herself enamored with the music there. Apparently the people there was just as fascinated with her once she started dancing, a talent she had since she was young. Going from place to place, she let the wind decide where she would go, though she felt that dancing on the streets wasn't enough. At first she thought she was alright, but one could only sleep outside for so long until their backs would protest. Apparently some places had establishments called inns where one could sleep on beds, but that required funds she didn't have. She wasn't getting enough money or attention in her shows, anyway; and so she started using her musical ability and her wind magic to put on shows that would draw in crowd after crowd--and most importantly, money with it. With a more stable income, she was able to travel out farther, see more, meet more people. Finally, she had hit her stride.
Personality Questions
1. What is their worst specific memory from childhood? - The first time she had witnessed an attempted raid was terrifying to her. The fact that people wanted to snatch people like her up was mind boggling, and she never fully understood why, either. 2. What do they think of being Marked? Do they believe in it? Have they come to the festival in search of love, or for some other reason? - She didn't know she was Marked until someone else pointed it out, although she simply shrugged it off and thought nothing else of it. The Festival was something she had heard about and her attendance is mostly out of wanting to have fun. 3. Spirit animal? - A peacock, for sure 4. Thing they’re most proud of? - Her magic, she feels it really makes her performances stand out. 5. Thing they’re most ashamed of? - Her ignorance is something she tries to keep on the down low. 6. What motivates them? - Money. She's not too ashamed to admit it, but it's what helps her travel. Rainy nights outside definitely motivate her to earn money so she can sleep on a bed instead. 7. What would they change about themselves if they could? - She wishes she didn't let her fears make her so paranoid. Constantly holding people at arm's length and being suspicious of their true motives leaves her lonely. 8. What’s most important in a romantic partner? - Trust, probably. It isn't something she has put too much thought into, admittedly.
Extra

There isn't an instrument out there that Vena can't play. And if she doesn't know how, she can figure out how to fake it 'til she makes it. She sings as well as she dances, though she tends to do it rarely; she's been accused of hypnotizing people with her voice and would rather not cause too much trouble.
Color Code: 98FB98 | PaleGreen Theme song: It's this thing
