Even though she was mostly keeping to Oliver, she still could say she was enjoying herself. She didn’t know where she and Oliver stood as far as what they were to each other. And she tried not to think about that -- she really did -- but every time she looked at his skeleton makeup, she thought about how they had to spend extra minutes in his car fixing it after she attacked his face with an almost-aggressive kiss, which she had since apologized for. Still, it was on her mind all the same. As they simply walked around a bit, the had soon found themselves in clear view of the beer pong table outside. It was still ways away, so she hadn’t seen who exactly was by it. Stella had always wanted to try beer pong. She remembered a conversation she had with her brother, Chris, about it. It was mostly about how drunk he got because he sucked at it, but still, he spoke about how much fun it was and the observant Lambert girl always wanted to try everything once. Perhaps that was part of the reason she was so friendly because opportunities opened up if she did. “Hey, Oli let’s go--” Stella froze in her tracks, spotting the devil himself rush past her with Aiden. She couldn’t move and the grip she had on Oliver’s hand only tightened. In a rare sight, Stella was visibly irate at the sight of Santiago. His costume did nothing to muffle his voice, to disguise the face that deserved to be repeatedly smacked with little remorse, and just the overall stench that came from him. God, Stella wasn’t one to show such negativity towards anyone, but Santiago Fernandez was the only person who turned her bubbly smile into a disgusted frown and who made her want to kill herself. The beacon of hope and positivity went through a blackout and automatic shutdown. Only when he went outside and away from her did she reboot slowly, but his effect remained ever present as she literally had to gasp for air so she could breathe. In the meantime, Stella turned around and downed about three of the black and orange vodka jello shots on a large platter in front of her. When it wasn’t enough, she took another three. As she gasped out loudly, she was satisfied. “That’s much better!” Her voice was higher than usual, which if you knew anything about Stella, that was really saying something. She was already feeling a bit giggly. Alcohol and she never did mix in the long term and as many jello shots she took, it was a miracle the girl didn’t find herself flat on her face. And to think, the only time she got even remotely hammered like this was, again, when she saw Santiago. Why that boy was the reason she drank, she’ll never know. The only thing Stella did know was she was going to keep herself far, far, far away from the beer pong table. Instead, she was going to focus on being close to Oliver. “I adore you, Oli!” Stella leaned close to him, her right arm using his superior height to help her keep her balance. She smiled at him, but only moments after her eyes left him, she saw a familiar face dressed in devil red and horns. The red confused her but the face -- the face was that of someone she could recognize almost immediately. “MAAAAAAAAAAAC!!!” The deafening screech came as Stella wobbled her way over to her devilish, British bestie! “It’s been soooo lonnnng!!!” Without warning, an excited Stella was hugging Mac as if she hadn’t seen her in months, which was exactly the case.
