Kolrim stands at four feet and ten inches and is nearly as wide as he is tall. His frame is heavily packed with muscle and littered with scars both large and small. A few of which were from his life prior to Terrenum. His skin, where it is not scarred, is weathered and worn. Most would guess his age to be in the 40s or early 50s. His hands are extrememly calloused from many years of hard larbor. He has a large black beard that goes past his belt buckle. His hair is also long, reaching to his shoulders, but not nearly as long and luxurious as his beard. His eyes are a granite gray in color and his gaze is often just as hard as the stone. Kolrim came to Terrenum 100 years ago, and like all Outsiders, has a bad case of amnesia regarding who he was prior to coming to this land. His particular case was bad enough that he still cannot recall his clan name (though he somehow knows he had a clan). This has been the cause for a great deal of stress for him at times as he feels somehow compelled to reconnect to this 'clan'. Not knowing anything about it besides that he called it a clan mid-conversation has provided him very little in the way of leads. He has spent over fifty years questing for a way to go back to wherever it is he came from and has traveled far and wide in search of answers. But all of his efforts have come to naught. He stopped actively searching for a way to return decades ago and his hope of ever returning to his homeland is all but extinguished. This has caused him to slip into depression more than once, and with this year being the centennial anniversary of his arrival has put Kolrim in a more dour mood than usual. He has naturally questioned why he was yanked from his previous life to come to this land, and at one point he wondered if the non-outsiders of Terrenum may be somehow responsible for it. He determined, however, that such thoughts would do him no good. Though the seed of that pondering still lingers. He first arrived in Terrenum in Kingsland and was taken in by a kindly peasant family there by the name of Higgs. When between leads for his quest he would stop by and check in on the family. While the original family members have all passed away now he stays in contact with their decedents, at this time is their great-great grandchildren. At first he was not sure what to do to support himself in this new world. He started with simple manual labor jobs, typically lifting, hauling, or moving materials. Some employers worried that his short stature would make him slower or weaker than others. More often than not his endurance allowed him to out perform the other workers. After some time had passed a few sparse details have come through the haze of his memories that are more like a gut feeling than a specific recollection. He knows he is a Dwarf, and that his stature is actually on the upper side of average for his race. He knows that Dwarves are long lived (many times that of a normal human) though he does not know how long nor does he know how old he is. While working in a mine he recalled methods and practices that would enhance the efficiency of the mine's operations. Later on he realized that he had some degree of skill at melee combat and was familiar with melee weapons and armor and how to use them. In order to fund the quest he had embarked upon after he first arrived in Terrenum, Kolrim often either worked at the nearest mine in an advisory capacity or, if that was not an option, was a sellsword. Over the years he has worked as a bodyguard, caravan guard and occasionally hired on to help deal with a monster problem. Kolrim returned to Kingsland and the Higgs family and stayed near them for several years after the end of his quest. They are only people he really cares about. However, after a time, he grew tired of the strict hierarchy and class system used in Kingsland. Being unable to improve his station in life rubbed him the wrong way so he resolved to return to the Lowlands to see if he could earn a more comfortable lifestyle there. He arrived in Gallant a few months ago and joined up with the Shield Brethren shortly thereafter.
