Just FYI, Check rolls in GUTS+ use each of the dice values individually rather than the total, and the GM interprets success based on the dice—not quite the average of the values, but on the "feel" of it based on the situation and attempted action (see "[url=https://guts.plus/rules/players-handbook/playing-the-game/#handling-conflict]Handling Conflict[/url]" for the full details). I was looking for a high "Full Success" or a "Positive Impact" for this attempt, but this roll was a 2 and a 5, so I'm going to interpret it as a "Near Success". Hopefully that makes sense and doesn't feel unfair or anything! Also, I'm just trying to inform you about my process and interpretation of the rules, not trying to scold or anything like that—I haven't personally seen another RPG that uses dice like this before, so I understand it might not be perfectly straightforward the first time you see the outcome of a multi-die roll. :) (And I'm sorry if I end up explaining myself too much!)
