Jurius is callous and domineering, focusing his efforts mostly on pursuing goals that all but his most trusted generals barely even know about. He is generally unconcerned about the common populace, believing his stewards capable of maintaining order while he’s focused on “more important things.” Despite his curtness he’s honest, perhaps to a fault. He doesn’t beat around the bush or hide his opinion, and even when addressing the public he doesn’t make pretenses about the state of affairs. His determination is rivaled by few.

Jurius was born and raised as crown prince of Venirin. From a young age he's been taught everything he needs to know to rule, from economy and strategy to Pokémon battling and swordplay. His father further ensured that Jurius was taught discipline, but between his father's duty to rule and the numerous things Jurius had to study, the two rarely had the opportunity to spend time together.

Not having taught Jurius compassion would eventually prove to be king Karos' biggest mistake, when Jurius declared the expansion of Venirin. In doing so he started a war that would last over a decade and cost thousands of lives of both people and Pokémon.

Regardless, it’s happy to follow Jurius anywhere.
