If you asked her why she has seen and done so much in her short years alive you will be given a long story about her parents, her mother specifically, and you'll wish the question had never been asked. A bit of a talker this one. With passion for her dancing comes with a competitive mindset built on overcome obstacles, toppling adversity, and sweeping past her own failures to achieve what they believe to be 'perfection'. A tad insensitive at times, following her mothers creed of tough love and honest words, Yuna can come across as rude and uncaring sometimes in the extreme but deeply cares about others and wont let her own brash competitiveness blur the line between friendly times and serious ventures be it on the smooth floor of the theaters floor or down in the thick of a fight. The costume is a different story. When she wears her veil, taking on the role of the Twilight Dancer, she is brutal in her application of skill to overcome and succeed. Background: Raised as the heiress to her Mothers career as a professional dancer before her accident, Yuna could dance long before she could speak. It was her every waking moment outside of school and they craved it with all their heart. A prodigy of flawless grace and undeniable skill who put tears in your eyes with their dance, a truest expression to the saying 'Poetry in motion' and was acknowledged by many of her mothers colleagues and taken under a dozen wings to perform, to sing, to dance, to pirouette upon the stage as the star. Fate plays other cards than the ones your parents set, unfortunately. Her quirk was an ugly thing of shadows that obscured her beautiful livery and bright colors into nothing but a violent ugly shape, her control causing it to veil her form into what others perceived as an ugly mask smothering the colors of her soul. Initially upset over the cruel twist of fate, Yuna disappeared from the spotlight to wallow in her rapidly developing powers. No spotlight could ever bring her to life and it broke her spirits nearly beyond repair, fearing that her mothers dream was lost. Her gifts squandered. Yoriko Shinomei was the beacon of purest light that cut through the swallowing dark, fighting to support her daughter and conceded that reality did not always show you the path you wanted. Yuna was quickly put to a different path of hard work, a path that would see her master her quirk and dance on a different stage. If they could not dance in the light they would do so in the dark as a Hero. Why fight destiny? Her Father had retired young from the hero life to support his crippled wife and taught his daughter the skills he had learned in his years, finally encouraging her to enroll in a hero school. Yunas choice was the same one her Father had enrolled in. Komei Academy. Quirk: Black Veil Yuna shadow lives as an extension of herself, on herself. When it is called upon her shadows deepen and flow across her body like a second set of skin to obscure her form and lash out at her whim. With her background as a dancer and an athletic, flexible body, a kick from their legs flows out like a whip of living darkness to strike out with force. It is not limited to just her feet and hands, the Veil can strike out from any part of her body at any time she wants, though it is not all that quick to shape itself.
