Daphne is quite tall, 6’1” tall when standing straight. She’s got deep, blue eyes, one of which is occasionally covered by the bangs of her black hair, which is long enough to reach between her shoulder blades. Around her neck she wears a necklace that she’d gotten from her mother when she turned fifteen.

For her outfit, Daphne prefers sturdy clothes that don’t restrict her movement. Because of this, she tends to wear men’s clothes instead of dresses and similar feminine clothes. She prefers her pants white and clean, but keeping them this way for long has proven to be a challenge in the past.

Daphne is careful and a bit lazy. She loves traveling, but she always ends up overthinking things and packing too much. Despite this, she regularly gets in trouble over her temper; she gets annoyed easily and usually responds to it by being as petty and obnoxious as possible. Still, she can’t help but spoil Pokémon, even spoiling Pokémon that aren’t her own, if their master allows it. Once she dedicates herself to something, Daphne is tenacious enough to overcome many obstacles, among which her inherent laziness.

[color=fff79a][b]”Short” Biography:[/b][/color]
Tarani, born and raised, Daphne used to think she’d become a baker like her father and mother, growing up. However, as she grew older and she talked to travelers, their tall and wondrous tales about the outside world captivated her, and she’d often tell her father she’d love to travel the world. Her father, much to his own regret, always had to say they couldn’t afford such a thing. Daphne was at a loss, but nonetheless her dream survived.

One night, not long after Daphne’s seventeenth birthday, she overheard her father talking to a man she’d never seen before, discussing some sort of payment. As she stepped into the room and told the man to leave her father alone, the man simply laughed and her father took her aside. The man was a courier, and a long-time acquaintance of her father’s. He then suggested that she become a courier as well, which’d allow her to fulfill her dream of seeing the world, even though it’d be a difficult job. She left her home and her family behind mournfully, but left nonetheless.

It’d be somewhat over two years later that Daphne would arrive in Sher again with her father’s acquaintance. She’d already briefly been there a few times over the previous year, but this time things were a little different. Near town, she’d found an injured Rhyhorn that no one decided to help. She observed from the distance for a while and even asked a local to help the poor creature, only to get shot down. Unwilling to just leave the injured Rhyhorn on its own, Daphne used a large part of her savings to buy medicine for it. It was difficult, approaching the wounded Pokémon, but after trying a number of different things, the Rhyhorn eventually let her close enough. With no small amount of effort, Daphne convinced her father’s acquaintance to let the Rhyhorn come along, and for a while after it had gotten better it served as her mount. After spending almost nine years together though, Rhyhorn is now a Rhydon, making him a more suited to protecting Daphne than to being her mount.

Daphne's mother passed away several winters ago, but she still visits her father regularly and keeps diaries to give to him when she does. This way she can "tell him" how her life has been no matter how brief her visit home.
