Professor Ul, or Mr./Professor Squid
AGE
33 in this plane of existence
SPECIES
Spawn of the Great Old Ones
GENDER
Generally Male, but he's actually gender fluid, physically and mentally. He doesn't follow normal rules of biology.
SEXUAL ORIENTATION
Demisexual -Encompasses those who do not feel sexual attraction to others unless they feel emotionally connected to them. Mr. Squid does long for connections with others.
APPEARANCE OCCUPATION
Professor Ul is a teacher in Foxbridge, and works at the local school and community college.
HOW
Being a spawn of a god dedicated to knowledge, Leo pretty much knows anything that can be considered a Hard Fact. Foxbridge has relatively low crime statistics, above average schools, and is a community for monsters and other weird things. These are facts.
PERSONALITY
Eccentric, encouraging, silly. Leo doesnt follow social norms but is ultimately one of the nicest monsters you could ever meet, if just a little bit quirky. He's passionate about pretty much everything and will turn any situation into a class learning excercise. Indeed hes a bit of a know it all and it shows, as his general approach to meeting people is that they are students whose brains are hungry for knowledge! He doesn't give up on people and always wants them to strive to be better than the day before.
SMALL BIO
From beyond this reality, the Great Old Ones sleep, their dreams creating and destroying universes. Their thoughts manifesting as cthonic horrors beyond mortal comprehension and understanding. Leo represents the Elder God Yog'Sep' Naeroth thirst for knowledge and was spawned to fulfill that role of creating the greatest library in the multiverse. He only has an eternity so he got to work immediately. Would you believe that the realm of the Old Gods is incredibly dull for an intellectual. Laws, rules, facts, beliefs, concepts, emotions, the sense of self all appear and disappear on whim. Cataloging anything just seemed like a waste of the perception of time. The Inner Realms of mortals, oh baby, things actually could make sense there, and it would remain making sense. Stability and rigidity is way more interesting then constant change, since that was the norm. Grass is always greener. Imagine his joy when he was summoned by cults onto Earth. Two decades of conversing, cataloging, and generally living the high life on earth. Humans were such fascinating little creatures. Equally godlike in creation and destruction. He considered it a treat to educate them, pushing them towards the betterment of themselves. He wanted humans to create more, more things for him to catalog. He never actually developed a close relationship with anyone as he had to hide his visage, not until he met Riley, a little girl whom was to be a sacrifice to powers her parents didn't understand. Leo accepted the 'gift' saving her from the knife. Being a father came to be one of his greatest joys. Leo came to Foxbridge because of his adopted daughter Riley. His peers in the outer Realms just don't get organics, and Riley, despite prepping and tutoring still had mortal neurons and biology and probably couldn't handle the way his realm had a nasty habit of warping literally everything. Just wasn't a safe place to raise a child. Foxbridge is supposed to be safe, accepting, he'd be able to flaunt his form without fear of persecution or loses of sanity. Leo wanted Riley to grow in an environment of acceptance and mental stimulation. A town for monsters offers perspectives on cultures and different avenues of life. She'd get used to the bizarre and the strange, and she'd be a empathetic and accepting human. Truly a paragon to her interesting race.
TRIVIA
Uses a type of perception filter to appear as an organic. Basically, the mind cant comprehend a squid like creature in a tie, so they ignore it, it must be their eyes playing tricks on them.
