After a few rounds and some notes on changes and improvements, Lock called it. Just to get in his jibe at Shock, he had them start "Siren Song" to get a feel for it. By the end of practice, he was in a better mood, partially because Shock wasn't. As they put things away for next week (minus the drums and xylophone; both were big enough that they usually just left them where they were), Lock made his final comments. "Barrel, you really need to practice," he said. "I dooo," Barrel whined. "Not well enough," Lock said, still a bit irritated. "We'll work on it tomorrow." Barrel crossed his arms and stuck his tongue out at Lock. Lock ignored him and turned to Carver. "Get with me on the note changes. Those were...actually not bad." His tone softened as he got to the twins. While he spoke to both, his focus was more distinctly on Lillith. "The new song's going to be amazing," he said. "It'll be perfect for a mid-show line-up." Shock rolled her eyes as she broke down the mike stand to put it away. She was still peeved that Lock even gave Carmilla an inch. "Yeah, yeah, vocals," she said before Lock could even say anything to her. "Like I'm not always practicing." "I'm counting on it," Lock shot back. Shock finished packing away the microphone before she made her way to the rope ladder. She didn't say another word as she quickly scaled it and left the lair. Lock just shook his head, letting her go off to wherever she was going to go off to to vent and cool off. He'd had his fun. And because he had his fun, he knew it was best to not be home tonight. "See you guys next week?" he asked, mostly to address Carver and Carmilla. Barrel had gotten back into his usual pattern of hitting whatever drums he felt like. Now that they weren't practicing, Lock didn't care as much.
