Ellie was expecting more of a shitty, run down motel with sheets you weren't entirely sure were washed in the last decade or two. But, there she was, pitching a tent on top of some sand and hunkering down for the night, while her six-figure sports car was sitting by nearby. It wasn't entirely the best deal, but it was far better than being cramped in the sports car. For such a fast car, it sure was uncomfortable when you sat in there for a long time. It was what happened when you sacrificed comfort for performance. On one hand, it was a monster, but on the other hand you might as well have been sitting down on a plank of wood for hours of a time while being thrown around like you were a ragdoll. The thoughts of being subjected to that kind of force was going to have to wait for the time being, though. Right now it was time to rest, and rightfully so considering that they had quite the day ahead of them. From Ellie waking up late to the little tussle involving AJ, everyone needed to wind down and rest up for the day ahead of them. They weren't too far from Vegas, according to Ellie's estimations which may or may not have been correct. Even though AJ was more than capable of doing this by himself, Ellie took it upon herself as a good friend to help him out. Speed was the key, after all, and in this case an extra hand was the best thing she could've given short of pulling a hotel out of her ass. Once all was settled, Ellie made sure the sticks were firmly planted in the ground. Safety first, after all. She was probably most likely sharing a tent with AJ, barring a visit from a surprise somebody. But there was nothing else to do and considering how badly Ellie overslept, hanging out with the rest of the group was a better idea than sitting in her car and fucking around on her phone. Was there even reception out here? Ellie wan't sure, and she wasn't really keen to find out with the opportunity a few feet away from her. Coming up to the bonfire, she couldn't help but to notice someone really working a pack of cards. It was practically magician, Vegas level, even. Ellie was intrigued, especially since the famed riffle shuffle was something that had evaded her for the years that she'd been alive. To satiate her curiosity, she decided to take a seat next to that individual. Upon closer observation, it was none other than Aleks himself. The extraordinaire, the man she was desperately trying to get to quit smoking. She didn't know he had a way with cards, though. That was pretty neat. "Sup, Aleks?" Ellie asked upon sitting out, "Couldn't help but to see you with those cards... that's dope, my dude."
