Yippee Ki Yay, motherfucker. January 1st, 2:46 PM Justice Station, Earth Orbit So this was earth culture. After the general tour of the Justice station that Grimm had so kindly provided, Preston had found a little corner to watch the collection of movies given to him. He had finished the first 'Die Hard' movie and had moved onto the second one in the series. There were two other members of the Justice League, his father's old team, that inhabited the station. Masquerade and Kraken. He held brief conversations with the both of them, but most of his time was dedicated studying these films to get some sort of grip on Terran culture. They did not help. Preston already knew that this movie was several decades old and considered a classic, but there was nothing that Preston could gather from this that seemed relevant at all. Was this a regular occurrence on earth back in the day?
January 1st, 4:14 PM Justice Station, Earth Orbit Preston took it back. these films were great. While he couldn't find himself able to sit down and watch all of these films, he did find a happy alternative. He found himself in the training room of the Justice Station, practicing with a construct of a Vespasian staff like the one his mother wielded in battle. In the background played the audio of the third Die Hard movie, and Preston would keep his eyes on it as he continued his training. Saraka said he was posted to watch over Preston, but there was no danger to speak of right now, so he was free to do as he pleased. The Chtho'Am was free to spar with Preston if it so chose, but the young Hybrid wasn't going to force him into anything. After he was done with these movies, he would move to an information terminal and study up more on Terran Culture... Or, he supposed he could just talk to the two other people on the space station with him. That was also a possibility. Grimm had long since left the station to go planetside, presumably to work on their patrol or monitor things close up. Whatever the case may be, Preston help himself holed up in the station as he took a summer action blockbuster from the year 1990 far too seriously as a cornerstone of Human Culture.
January 1st, 7:45 PM Justice Station, Earth Orbit ”Calling Operatives Champion, Masquerade, Velocity, Kraken, Guests Green Lantern, Blue Lantern, and Zeka: Operative Wonder Woman requests assistance in Metropolis. Current Status: Deadly on a city-wide scale.” The communicator that Preston had strapped to his hip had gone off, along with the PA system in the justice station. Preston grunted. He was almost done with the final movie! But work had to come first, and this was a major problem if so many heroes were being called in, even three guests to the station. The communicator was thumbed, Preston was already working his way through the corridors to the nearest airlock. Specifically, the one that he had gone through to get into the station in the first place. "Green Lantern, reporting." But he didn't say anything after that. He took a long pose, remembering that he had no idea where this Metropolis was. "Station." He spoke aloud, standing before the airlock. "Where is this Metropolis?" "The city of Metropolis is on the east coast. From space, it is so the right of the massive wasteland known as 'The Scar'. The location is being marked on your communicator." "Thank you," Preston nodded his head, despite the fact that no one was there. "Now please let me out of here." The first door of the Airlock had opened just long enough for Preston to make his way through. The hissing of the air being let out became next to nothing in the vacuum of space, and Preston started his descent down to Metropolis. "I'm en route. I'll be there shortly."
