[b][h3][center]Gods, Men and Everything in Between End of Turn 1[/center][/h3][/b] [b][i]The First Father Provides Guidance[/i][/b] [indent]Edenia, at the urging of the Gods, would one day become known as a holy place of writ, the formidable "gathering place of the Gods," as it were. As Gods came--and others went--the footsteps from which the various deities would forever be felt in Edenia. [b][color=blue]ALNAEUS[/color][/b]' presence was absent however, though always felt. Like a dull hum in the back of the mind, the [i]First Father[/i] was nowhere--and everywhere. Then, he appeared, or rather [b][color=gray]HUM[/color][/b], disappeared. The blip was no faster than a blink, and then he was there, with the [i]First Father[/i]. The two orbs--one opaque and one vibrant and shining, stuck to [b][color=gray]HUM[/color][/b]'s fingers like spiderwebs. The [i]First Father[/i] turned to him--or was he facing him the entire time?--and sized him up. The Creator, inspecting The Created. He neared, pulled the hand's of [b][color=gray]HUM[/color][/b] palm up, examining the power of [b]LIFE[/b], the power of [b]DEATH[/b] settled neatly in each hand. After what seemed a short eternity, [b][color=blue]ALNAEUS[/color][/b] reached up and closed the fingers over the gleaming white orb, it's radiating heat dissolving into [b][color=gray]HUM[/color][/b]'s fingertips. Then, the same with the decadent and black orb of [b]DEATH[/b]. "[i][color=lightblue]You will be the [b]Handler of Souls[/b], a keeper of the remnants of any living being made in the image of your Brothers and Sisters. [/color][/i]" The [i]First Father[/i]'s tone changed. Stern. Foreboding. "[i][color=lightblue]Your sister inquired about such a keeping place for those that pass beyond the Breath. It's a wicked thing, Life. Bickering. Groaning. Fighting.[/color][/i]" He turned away, his chest heaving, then back all at once toward [b][color=gray]HUM[/color][/b] then a breath he stole from the World hundreds of years ago he finally released and [b][color=gray]HUM[/color][/b] was gone.[/indent] [b][i]The World Continues to Grow[/i][/b] [indent]The work of [b][color=turquoise]ALCADEAS[/color][/b] bore wonderful fruit between 824 F.A. and 966 F.A., where verdant fields and a thick, dark grasslands along the Alcadean Ridge popped up, growing out into the island chains as well. To the West, the God [b][color=forestgreen]MORAVKIN[/color][/b] sprang forth from the world a forest of thick pines, their ages telling a story much older than they actually were. The Earth. While the other God's bickered, he listened. He grew comfortable with the song of her voice, then suddenly felt it flitter, turn away and towards [b]another[/b]. - [[b][color=olive]YLLWYTHYR[/color][/b] may Bid a new amount by sending that amount to the GM then posting IC. If it is higher than the Challenger's Bid, it will go back to the Challenger to bid again, if it is not--the Domain of Earth will be lost to that Challenger. He stood where he once stood, in Edenia--but neither his Brother nor his Sister were there. Nor did the sun shine down, or the grass grow. Where color had once filled the God's senses with vibrant greens and blues and whites instead seemed dull. One might ask: had the world gone gray? But here, wherever [i]here[/i] was, there was no one to answer. A proverbial flex of his muscle brought [b][color=gray]HUM[/color][/b] to a singular realization: He was not in the [b]Natural World[/b]. This was a different Realm, a [i]new[/i] Realm.
