I mean, the grace period was a turn. Theo made that pretty clear and even stated how much time was left. It wasn't even that people weren't active or didn't have the chance, people were posting well after this was all made clear, but didn't challenge. Maybe turns should be longer in the future, but I don't feel anyone was cheated out of their chance to take life, death, or destruction domains.
