"Hmph, what is taking them so long? I'm getting tired of waiting here." Myrila huffed as she looked around the crowd for what felt like a millionth time. She had been called here by the king himself, and she assumed that the others were the same. It was an official request, so she couldn't just refuse. Besides, this whole "legendary hero" business certainly had piqued her interest. Everybody knew about the legend. About how the four heroes saved the world from destruction. And now, the kingdom had decided to call upon them again. She wasn't told why. But knowing about the rise in the monster threat lately, she got her hands full of them certainly, she could very well guess why. That this world once again is heading to its destruction. The so-called "waves" are coming. She couldn't just accept such a fact however. There must be some kind of mistake, she told herself. But if it were true, and please gods let it not be true, then she would want to fight, even if she wasn't one of the legendary heroes. That's why she had no problem chosen as being one of the heroes' companions. She got to choose which hero too. I'm sure all of them would be courageous and honorable so anyone should do. But still, I would prefer serving the best amongst them to be sure. She crossed her legs as she stood slouched with her back pushing to the wall behind her. She preferred to keep to herself, especially around strangers. None of the people here really interested her enough for her to start a chat with them. "Hmm? Is that girl... a demihuman? How rare to see one that is not a slave. And she's actually invited as well?" She saw a glimpse of her ears under her cloak. And it made her stare at her really closely as her nature attracted her attention.
