In her family, she was the fifth and last child of a demi-human family. At first, the peasant family lived peacefully in a little hamlet in the countryside until a group of bandits descended upon the small village. The bandits killed every man that stood up to them and even killed a few of the women and children just to break the spirits of the people. The bandits had decided they were going to kill Ely's mother and father to prove a point to the somewhat large family. Her two brothers wouldn't stay down and accept their fate deciding for a last ditch effort to take out the bandits and run. Sadly though they didn't even take a single bandit down. All four were then killed leaving Ely and her two older sisters alive. The bandits chose to make the remaining demi-humans into workers for them. The next few years were spent cleaning clothes, cooking meals, and other similar tasks. About two years before the first wave would come nearly half of the camp became ill of some disease that they were unable to identify. Among that number was Ely's oldest sister. Any attempt to heal the sick was a miserable failure, and they all soon realized that there was only one option left. Each ill, even the sick bandits, gave up their lives so that they wouldn't cause harm to the remaining people. After this things became somewhat easier. The bandits were now being run by someone different due to the previous leader dying among the ill. This new leader decided that they would treat their servants better seeing as they were basically the backbone of the camp. (It most certainly had nothing to do with the fact that they outnumbered the bandits 3 to 1 and hadn't applied any slave crests) Before, all they ever got to eat tended to be scraps, but now they had the same nourishment as some of the youngest fighters. They were given new clothes so that they weren't stuck in rags. The bandits even got them beds and rooms of their own. The slaves turned into serfs. Not that much better, but at least they had a way to survive easier. Somehow though it seemed as if the universe didn't want Ely to have a happy life. As the bandits had lost half of their fighting power it was only a matter of time for another nefarious group to take notice and advantage of this. They didn't stand a chance against the assault and most ran rather than fight which caused the weaker among the camp to be brutally slaughtered like wolves had caught their prey. As soon as Ely realized what was going on she and her sister began running. They were only lucky because the two were some of the quickest in the camp from having to run back and forth between different areas of the camp during the day. Ely and her sister made it into the forest but they were being followed closely. When the opportunity arrived, Ely's sister forced her to hide in a small hole telling her that she would lead them away and come right back. Elysia stayed in that hiding space for hours. Nearly a day. The fighting had obviously stopped but the young demi-human still hoped that her sister was coming back. As the night sky reached it's fullest, Ely finally decided to try leaving from her spot. She could tell that in the distance her home was still being occupied by the boisterous celebration of the people who had attacked them. She ran in the direction that her sister had gone in. She stopped when she came upon a clearing and she could smell blood. Cautiously, Elysia searched the area until she found the source of the smell. She found her sister leaning against a tree injured. She had gotten hurt running away but was making her way back to Elysia when she couldn't go on anymore. Ely tried to help her sister up but she wasn't strong enough. In the distance, they could hear some chatter coming their way. Elysia was told to run but she didn't want to, crying and begging for her sister to come with her. Ely's sister took off her cloak thrusting it into Ely's hands telling her that she wanted her to keep herself and it safe and promising that she wouldn't die until Ely was able to give it back to her. The young Ely naively believing her sister ran. The next few days were mostly a blur to Elysia. Sleepless nights under the cold night sky, running from other various dangers, and scavenging for 'food' in order to survive. Eventually, she found herself in the capital of Melromarc. She found her way to an area where people were selling their goods. She saw a big juicy apple and was determined to eat it. Surprisingly enough, she was easily able to hide amongst the crowd inching her way closer and closer. The cloak she wore easily hid her obvious demi-human features so that she looked like any normal child. Once she made it to the apple merchants station she bided her time waiting for his attention to be drawn and the moment and opportunity arose she took it swiping one of the apples and slipping back into the crowd. Once she was certain no one had seen her she ran towards the closest alleyway determined to sink her teeth into the big red treat. But when she pulled it out of her pocket she discovered all she had was a stale piece of bread. Behind her, a tall slender figure stepped out of the shadows. At first, he mocked her for how easy it was to take the fruit from her but ended up complimenting her saying she was a natural. The man offered to teach her how to 'properly' use her skills in payment of coin and Intel. From then until now, Elysia was taught how to steal and gather information by lurking in the shadows and from right under the noses of her victims. She doesn't know the name of her teacher but she is grateful to him for teaching her how to survive on her own. Knowing that the waves are coming soon and that the four legendary heroes were going to be summoned, Elysia saw that as the perfect opportunity to get the ultimate repayment to her teacher. She's hoping that she'll be able to sneak into the castle with the adventures who are joining the heroes, in hopes that she can join a hero's party thinking she may be able to get valuable information or a good chunk of coin.
--- Preferred Weapon(s): Dual wielding daggers Appearance of Weapon:

Abilities of Weapon: None --- Skills/Abilities: Name of Skill: Sleight of Hand Abilities of Skill: Trick the eye to see or not see a hand gesture through deception Downsides of Skill: If someone pays close enough attention or they are smart enough this may not work Name of Skill: Conceal Abilities of Skill: The ability to hide in plain sight Downsides of Skill: If one knows she is in the area the likelihood of this skill working decreases as well as if someone is scanning the people or environment Name of Skill: Acrobatics Abilities of Skill: The user of this skill has more deft control of their body Downsides of Skill: This skill can easily be neutralized by many different factors that could exist. ---- Inventory: An old worn out rag A loaf and a half of bread
