Infantry? As in Battle Armor infantry, or "hey watch me die to a single SRM-2 salvo" Infantry?

I'm interested in Battletech, but the absolute bottom rung is kinda pushing it. If it's legit the bottom of the barrel,  here's hoping we at least get to ride a Demolisher before everyone is killed by a Firemoth (Fight me Freebirth.)
