[@Gardevoiran] Skylar didn’t find any more rare Pokémon on the way. He did find more of what he had already found, however, so some more training it was. Seabreeze grew to level 11! Paradise grew to level 11! Celebrity grew to level 11! Celebrity learned Disarming Voice! Just to balance things out. So, Skylar headed down to the docks of Highhill Town. Doing so, he really left the town proper. Here, he could look out over the lake, and grasp an area that’s counted as a separate route entirely.

Route 14
It is most certainly a lake. A vast lake, that’d no doubt take quite a long time to walk around. The cliffs of Mt. Strength and Mt. Chill rises beyond the lake, and to the south are the cliffs that houses the Wet Caverns. Everywhere around the Dragon Lake lies forests, to the west and north and south, at the bases of the mountains and past. The surface of the water looks so peaceful, but way out there you know are the islands and creeks where dragons are known to roam. The places which the lake gets its name. Rain clouds are gathered in the north-west, over Route 3, as usual. Also at the docks are numerous fishermen, fishing at the docks. ‘Oh? Ye want to try yer luck at fishin’ for dragons? Can’t promise you’ll pull up something so rare, but sure. Here, take this.’ Skylar obtained the Old Rod! If he wanted it, that is. The rod is collapsable so it can take way less room than it would extended, but the quality is a little lacking. Still a fine and, by the looks of it, experienced fishing rod, however. ‘Ye can have it. I’ve got better ones. Though, regardless of yer rod, dragons are a once-half-a-year things we occasionally pull up. Don’t count on it.’ Apparently with his job considered done, the fisherman turned and kept fishing where he was. If Skylar attempted using said Old Rod…!
Pokédex Entry #129 – Magikarp, the Fish Pokémon. While known for being extremely weak and washed away by even the weakest current, Magikarp can survive even in the most polluted of water. They’re incredibly fertile and have spread to waters all around the world. They jump fairly high, and older Magikarps are known to brave mountains with these jumps, seeking evolution. A big red Pokémon was wiggling at the end of the rod, big oblivious eyes staring off into the vast distance signalling either untold wisdom or complete lack of it. Did he expect anything else?
So that happened. Now, eventually the ferry would appear, offering a ride to either Lakewatch Town or Stillwood Village. Lakewatch Town - 750 P Stillwood Village - 750 P So that was an option. Otherwise, Skylar’s still in Highhill Town.

Highhill Town
Highhill Town is a small, lively place that has seemingly stood atop this hill from time immemorial and never really changed. The atmosphere in Highhill Town is much fresher than surrounding places, the buildings are older and the work as honest as ever. The old town is populated by elders and younglings aplenty, and the town has a culture of their own. Plenty of Pokémon assist with the work, either as work-force or the animals that work is being done on. One usually only crosses Highhill Town on a trip to or from Pureplain City. Regardless, it is a place of beauty. The fields around it are cultivated by hard-working people and Pokémon while the lake to the east gleams in the sunshine as fishermen attend it. There are small roads of asphalt spiraling up the hill to lead to all the old buildings, and children playing around in stairs or nature is very common. It is said that a trainer praying at the nearby Silent Shrine will be blessed on their journey, so many travel to Highhill Town just for that. There’s also a set of very ancient rocks spread about town, pointing out towards the lake on top of the hill with some engravings. What they mean? Nobody knows. Also, Highhill Town is the residence of a certain Move Changer, whose abilities are sought by some new trainers. What he can do? Visit him to find out.

1. It is our job to ensure whatever their plans are, they are to be shut down,’ a soft but strict female voice said. ‘You understand the gravity of the situation, I trust? We can’t let their kind do as they like,’ a considerably rougher, more irritated though still young male voice said. ‘Yes, sir!’ said a small group of other individuals. If Eryn peeked, she’d see that they were all dressed in white, basically. ‘Good. We need to split up to search effectively. Now, Judy and Joe, you’re our depths team, you need to-’ ‘AAGH-!’ There’s a sudden scream as suddenly a bunch of Zubats swooped down on the assembled group. ‘Oh, c’mon, you can handle a bunch of Zubats! How are you supposed to handle Amethyst if you can’t handle Zubats!?’ the male said, frustrated. ‘B-but sir!’ ‘Pokémon, out!’ With that command, numerous Pokémon came out and the sounds of a battle started. So, there were two people in command of a bunch of grunts, fairly easily identifiable as the uniforms of Team Virtue.

They were in the river-path, on a patch of dry land which the river snaked past. Did Eryn want anything down here?

… So, down this rocky path, there were noises of rock against rock… which was mostly because there was a huge Geodude brawl going on. Rocks were being thrown at other rocks, annoyed dudes that tackled one another with little to no effect. There was also an incline and a descent, two paths that one led somewhat up and one led somewhat down… and there came a huge rock rolling down at amazing speed, taking numerous Geodudes with it. The huge rock that came rolling down had eyes. Pokédex Entry #74 – Geodude, the Rock Pokémon. Found in fields as well as mountains. They commonly rest, half-buried in the ground and indistinguishable from normal rocks. There are always way more Geodude around than a traveler will notice. Stepping on one by accident may trigger their rage. Pokédex Entry #75 – Graveler, the Rock Pokémon. A Graveler’s life consists of travelling up mountains feeding on their rocks to grow big, and then rolling down to the bottom to climb again. Due to their free and uncaring nature, they make some mountain trails very dangerous. If Eryn was up for dodging Gravelers and avoiding these aggressive Geodudes, this was a possible path to continue, either up or down. Would she like to do something here.

So, travelling the path of the shallow waters where Surskits paddled along turned sort of dangerous when the moment Eryn put her foot in the shallow waters, the Surskits collectively turned and unleashed a wall of Bubbles in her directions, forcing her to fall back or suffer the dangers of letting Dei take numerous Bubbles moves onto him. Proceeding in this direction would require some form of plan to get past the Surskits, which serve as some formidable obstacle, for some reason. This while there were Zubats behind her, as well.

So, there’s a lake, a gentle lake with the occasional movement within. It’s a peaceful cavern, with a hole in the ceiling letting down sunlight. However, unless you can either ascend through that hole or dive through the waters, this appears to be a dead end. Those walls hardly look like they could be climbed by the regular human being, after all. Did Eryn have a plan for how to proceed here, or does she try an alternative route?

Wet Caverns
The Wet Caverns, known so for the sheer amount of water drenching the contents. It’s a large series of tunnels with no real large open rooms, dividing itself up into a fairly simple maze going from one side to the other. The water inside the tunnels thankfully lit up the contents due to some shining mineral in the liquid, giving rise to a mildly lit set of tunnels. Many people prefer not to travel through the Wet Caverns due to them being long and easy to get lost in, in addition to the large amounts of hostile Pokémon which might attack at any time. Yet, here you are… Still. There are those who travel through it on a regular basis. Those who have learned the trick finds it a fairly easy shortcut between Lakewatch Town and Pureplain City. For enthusiasts there are always the options of delving deeper into the caverns, fishing or surfing to find out what kind of Pokémon might inhabit the depths and the shallow rivers that flow along the underground corridors. It is known to be fairly diverse when it comes to the Pokémon inhabiting it, giving trainers both water- and cave Pokémon to pick from when they want to catch something.

1.
