[@PharaohAtem] Bahamut went for the killing blow because as far as he is aware they are just NPCs, and important quest NPCs will get back up after being defeated or stop you before you do too much damage. 

He will slowly start to realise it is all real as the Rp goes on. The intense pain and actually, physical damage will be a big clue that something isn’t right and there is some truth to what Julia says.
