[@Hammerman]The show has it so that the heroes don't have much say in the matter the adventurers/volunteers choose for themselves. Because Naofumi is dicked over hard he gets no one then Myne/Bitch assigns herself to him and things go down hill. If you'd prefer other way around you can approach the heroes individually and ask to see if they'd like them to join their group.
