These summoners (or so players are called) spend hours and hours playing the game, using their favorite champions to defeat one another on the field known as Summoner's Rift. You are one of the many people that play this game. One night, after playing a couple of League games and complaining endlessly about your teammates, you decide to hit the hay. You promise that you'll play again tomorrow and try harder to carry yourself out of the division you were placed in. Maybe you'll buy the new champion that came out, too. The next morning, you find yourself in a horrible fit. Your body's burning up. You keep vomiting. It doesn't feel like you've caught the flu-- maybe it was something you ate. Hours pass, and it feels like you're dying. Maybe it was a bacterial infection. Maybe it was a gas leak. But before you decide to call 911, you suddenly feel better, but you don't feel like yourself. Your limbs feel like they're disconnected from your body, your body feels like its been run over by an 18-wheeler, and your head is pounding. Nevertheless, you go to work, to school, to the park, or maybe you decide to stay home. Little did you know was that you weren't yourself. An unnatural phenomenon has occurred, and those who play League of Legends have been granted the powers of the champion that they main. Some may find out sooner than others and some may not find out until it's too late. The point is, their lives will never be the same again... With your new-found powers, you choose whether to become a recluse in fear of being found out or you go out and begin to make a name for yourself. Maybe you just choose to ignore them and struggle to hide them. Whatever the case, you slowly begin to realize that something is after you. Is it the government that wants to experiment on you? Is it another of your kind? Nobody knows. What you do know, however, is that you're knee-deep in the most complicated problem of your life. To top it all off, you suddenly get this letter in the mail...:

Hello! You have been invited to Darkwell City’s 100th anniversary party! One hundred years ago, this wonderful city that we call our home was founded by brave pioneers. The party will be held at Darkwell City Diner-- the whole place will be reserved just for us! There will be food and drinks at the party, along with a special offer that you just CAN’T refuse… a raffle for a high-end PC! This personal computer can do anything you want due to its high-speed processor. Come and join us! (the date and time is scrawled at the bottom of the letter.)

Our characters are all residents of Darkwell, a port town located on the border of California and Oregon. While it may be somewhat large for a town, it is nowhere near a bustling city, despite its name. In fact, most of Darkwell's citizens either know each other or know of each other. Ask anyone, and they'll explain that while Darkwell does have its charm, there's nothing really special about it-- it is simply a cozy town. To the west lies the open Pacific. To the north, south, and east lies everything else exciting. Darkwell boasts several types of businesses. Darkwell City Diner is one of the most popular places to visit, as college students often go there for a quick bite to eat between classes. There's also a movie theater, a town square, coffee shops, apartment complexes, and more. When a person is afflicted, they fall into a semi-conscious state-- however, the true brunt of the affliction only occurs when a person wakes from sleep. It is at this time that a person becomes very sick. They undergo high fevers, nausea, vomiting, headaches, and can even hallucinate. The symptoms increase in strength and can even kill the person. If a person survives the "illness", which can either last from a day to three days, they are granted supernatural powers.

In League of Legends, champions use different types of energies in order to conduct certain actions. Some don't even use these energies at all, instead relying on the cooldowns of their abilities. In the real world, however, these energies and cooldowns are combined into something called prana. Prana is the life-force of every single thing, from ants to frogs to people. Living beings cannot all use the prana in their bodies, though. Only the people who have unlocked their supernatural abilities are able to use the prana to fuel their spells and attacks. If one taps into their reservoir of prana too much, they risk falling unconscious, which can lead to coma or death.

A "rule of one plus four" refers to a champion's passive ability and their four active abilities. All champions have these abilities, but that does not mean they are static and can always be used by an individual. Passive abilities require no prana use at all; they are innate abilities that simply sticks with a person, no matter if they are low on prana or not. All active abilities, however, require prana in order to be used. Some active abilities, such as ultimate abilities, cannot be used as often, as the amount of prana that has to be consumed in order to use these abilities can take a massive toll on a person's body.

Not many people like to think of this, but individuals imbued with the powers of their champions have something akin to an "entity" living inside of them; the champion they take after can, at times, impact how they behave and think. A person with Riven powers is likely to clash with someone with Yasuo powers. A person with Master Yi powers may as well get along with Shen powers. A person with Kayn powers may get along with someone with Zed powers. These cases are very common and do not impact the person's overall psyche; both the person's psyche and the champion's personality and behavior are coexisting peacefully. It is during times of extreme stress, strife, and/or other negative emotions that an individual must be careful. The personality and behavior of the champion is like to override the person's psyche, shattering their mental state and driving them to become berserk. It matters not how peaceful or benevolent the champion or person is. Usually, there is no coming back from this bleeding effect, and the easiest way to dispose of such a threat is to kill it.

In their normal, passive state, people imbued with the powers of their champions are sometimes able to use their power to a minimal degree. For instance, they may send a shade to retrieve something way above their heads or mend small wounds. When the individual decides to use their true forms, they are able to use all of their abilities to their highest potential. The reason why people usually don't use their true forms (except in life-or-death situations) is because of two reasons; one, true forms sap away at their prana; and two, true forms affect their bodies and minds a decent amount. People look and act mostly like their champions in their true forms. They gain the ability to change forms, to use their ultimate abilities, and so forth. Another dangerous aspect of true forms is that individuals are more prone to bleeding and losing their grasp on themselves.
Please note that this is a 18+, high-casual/semi-advanced roleplay. While I don't expect novels for posts, I would like for you to please take your time creating your characters and writing your posts. We all make mistakes, and that's fine, but if your post gives me a headache to read, then that'll be an issue. Do not ghost us. If you need to step away from the RP, please let me know. I will listen to people's suggestions and ideas for plot development and etc. However, my final decision is law. Once this OOC goes up, I will create a discord and PM the invite link to those who have already proclaimed interest. Please be active on the discord, as that is the easiest way for most people to get in touch with one another. While we do have a handful of people, I don't want you guys to constantly pump out posts. Thus, we will be running on a semi-cyclic posting schedule. This means you should try to wait for everyone to post first before typing another post. If the person we're waiting for doesn't post in a week or so, then we may move on. I get that we're all busy at times, but I would love it if players post once or twice a week. Try to keep characters balanced! This means that if there's four girls and only one dude, then you should probably make a dude. Note that not all of the information you need to know is on this interest check. I am a fun-loving person. I love it when we talk about things on Discord and make fun of characters, create ships, theories, and relationships. Don't hesitate to reach out to me for anything you need! Have fun~ "Character Quote Here"
Name: [First and last] Age: [18-25] Gender: Occupation: Champion: Abilities: [Refer to the "Rule of One Plus Four".
