Sporting an average 5'8, his unassuming, back-alley figure belies a solid and firm frame, albeit with a slight beer belly from his alcoholic escapades in his youth. His tawny, brown hair is a compromise between disheveled and combed but however, his bushy beard is another matter. Dark circles take shelter under the bottom of his warm cobalt eyes and his tanned skin has a sallow pallor that seems to brighten underneath moonlight. His face is always crinkled on the beginnings of a welcoming grin or a smirk. One can smell the skunk-like scent of spirits and dried sweat hidden underneath the aftershave. How does one differ Jerry from the billion other bartenders that inhabit New York's midnight realm? For starters, Jerry can never be found without his pork-pie fedora which he always wears indoors, outdoors, day or night. However, the most striking feature on Jerry's person is the eye-patch which has garnered him street fame throughout the Upper East Side of New York. In terms of clothing, Jerry usually wears a sleeveless shirt and his accompaniment of old long jeans. Comfy loafers are his shoe-ware of choice to prevent sores sustained from manning long nights at the bar. On the appropriate occasion, he wears a black and blue vested suit with a string tie. OCCUPATION: Jerry used to work full-time as the the former assistant bartender at The Blue Sun club, working alongside his mentor, Gazpacho Hoover. However, due to gentrification projects by the New York City Council, Blue Sun was caught underneath the wave of reconstruction and permanently destroyed. Since then, Jerry has been working as a part-time bartender for the past five years, moving from bar to bar in New York in search of something to do. He has since settled down at Twilight's Tune at the Upper East Side.
Psychological Profile
Even-Tempered | Polite | Conversational | Deceitful | Liar | Observant VIRTUE: EMPATHY - Being empathetic is Jerry's job. A bartender's job is to dish out both verbal and liquid empathy to the customer, no matter what background they come from and make sure that they have a good time out at their bar. Jerry upholds the virtue of empathy in ensuring that every person who receives a drink from him is not only satisfied with themselves but has a emotional rapport to air out their struggles, their problems and their worries to. No matter what backgrounds or what sins a person has committed, Jerry will always try his best to understand, over a glass of gin and tonic or a bottle of scotch. VICE: TATTLETALE Yet, a bar is a place where men and women air their demons, secrets and vices. Jerry is prone, to the point of addiction, in revealing pertinent or private information pathologically. Jerry finds pleasure in tripping up his friends and strangers alike with secrets, even if it's likely to get him killed or even when it's against is best interests. Trusting or confiding in Jerry with private information is dubious at best. If there is a secret that he doesn't know about, Jerry will ensure that he knows about it, even if it would be best that he doesn't. This habit of his often damages any relationship that he has, irreversibly. PERSONAL GOALS: Vengeance. Revenge. All of those are good motivators to join a covert black ops group without any military experience whatsoever. Still reeling from the loss of his right eye and the loss of Gazpacho's bar from a gentrification project funded by Pyramid Microsystems, Jerry aims to both take back and revert Blue Sun back to its former glory by destroying Pyramid Microsystems operations in NYC. Aside from that, Jerry aims to keep Twilight Tune in tip-top business outside of Gage's own mission and making sure that no mission that they do affects the business of his own bar. PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY: Jerry views himself as a reliable 'confidant' to every low-life and person looking to drown his sorrows in his bar, acting as an ear to those who need to release their stresses. An cautious opportunist at heart, Jerry believes that the best thing one can do in their lives is to witness and listen to the stories of those who don't matter in order to make them matter. The homeless, the unemployed, the guttersnipes, Jerry believes that stories, no matter the background of the teller, are the weapon of the 21st Century. Along with this, a principle that Jerry always operates on is upholding the rules of hospitality no matter how ugly or disgusting your patrons are and treating everyone with respect. FEARS: Asking him to eat raw seafood such as oysters, drunkards and stalkers are ways to crack Jerry's normally unflappable facade. The biggest fear of all is his right eye. His crippled vision is a source of both physical and psychological trauma and doesn't like being reminded of the incident in which he received it. He is compulsively obsessed with hiding it and not revealing it for the world to see. Threatening to rip his eye-patch off is a sure way to make him blubber and cry out for help. Alcohol reveals the demons.” Flunking his 6th grade tests for yet the 2nd time in a row, a 14 year old Jeremy O'Connell left his overstuffed, rented apartment building in spite of the disagreements and rowdy rows between him and his parents that led to numerous noise complaints. The last thing he saw was a triangular prism emblazoned on a white badge with the name " PYRAMID MICRO-SYSTEMS ". Blue Moon was bought over by Pyramid Micro-Systems as part of the New York Council's gentrification project. Whilst Gazpacho and Jeremy reestablished their operations with the new Twilight's Tune, things were never quite the same again. Especially with the fact that Gazpacho had ran out of money to continue his chemotherapy sessions. Sacrificing his health for that of his protege, Jeremy was only one out of twenty, a entourage of close friends and customers, who attended his funeral. Jeremiah established Twilight's Tune as an underground area of information. Rumours began springing up around his bar about the Beacon. The man's name was Gage.
