Choices in the heat of battle are always hard. This one hurt more than Niah could even explain. She chose to step through the portal and get away from the threat rather than try to pull her dead friend with her. The time wasted could easily be the end of her and she needed to complete this mission. She needed the time travel machine to work. There was too much blood. Niah could apologize to a living Bonnie who had no memory of this world. Dealing with Flynn would be a bit more unpleasant, but she'd make sure they ended up together when time was reset.

Strange was in dire straights and he was their exit plan. With Bonnie dead, they didn't have a medic. Niah also cast her gaze around for something that might be used as a weapon. Her ICER was fine against human targets, but the Ultron bots weren't human.
